Need Help setting up my default aircraft

Sorry guys, my mind isn't with me today. I cleaned out all my old flights, and now I am trying to establish a default flight, which will allow me to pull up various aircraft without the engines racing. I tried the default Ultralights, default Boeing 737, and a freeware downloaded aircraft the Aero Commander 685 and all of them result in engines racing when selecting aircraft.

 

I know I am not doing something right, I would appreciate someone letting me know what I am doing wrong!

I set up my default flight using the Baron58 parked at an airport in my time zone with the engines and electrical off and the avionics switch on, parking brake set. Then hit the ; key and check the box "Save as Default flight".

Interesting Charlie, did you have the engines off to avoid what I am finding, engines racing at startup?

Just a thought, now you have to start anything you want to fly, right?
