I,ve got the traffic bgl,s in scenery/world/scenery. All my Ai aircraft back in main aircraft folder,just been flying between Heathrow /Schipol. And wow, still only stock ai,s .

 

Are you at the airport/flying at the time designated for those AI aircraft to be in your area?

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

It might be quicker for you to start again from scratch. Delete your existing WoAI traffic bgl's and AI aircraft folders, then as a test, download the WoAI British Airways and KLM packages only and install them with the WoAI Installer on all default settings. Then have a slew around EGLL and EHAM and see what you bump into!

In FS2004, you don't install to a Traffic folder inside Scenery/World/scenery. If that's where your Traffic bgl's are now, move them out of that folder into the World/scenery folder and your AI should show up.

No sorry, I don,t have a Traffic folder in the scenery folder. The message I get is " could not find a part of the path C/ / / / scenery Traffic_000_WoA_ American Airlines_Su 13 bgl in this instance. I don,t think my installer is at fault as its ok with the FSX stuff.

Have you selected all the FS2004 options in the installer?

If so, is your FS2004 installed in Program Files or Program Files (x86)? If it is, you may need to change the folder permissions or move FS2004 to the root of your C: drive, and then run the WoAI installer again.

Well I,ve deleated the installer. re installed it, tried some new ai,s. It said they were installed, but their still not showing up. and I go to Heathrow between 6.30 onwards. A busy time normally but zip, just the stock aircraft.

 

What airlines do you have installed as AI?

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Are you sure they are installing into your actual FS2004 folder, not a 'dummy' one which the installer has created on it's own? This is where it puts the AI in my FS2004 on Windows 7 x64 bit:

Note that my FS2004 is in Program Files (x86) and NOT Program Files. Make sure your WoAI installer is installing into the correct Program Files folder!

Just checked the traffic files in Scenery, and I have Traffic_Su15_britishairways_FSX.bgl. The FSX.bgl appears on all of them.even though I chose 2004 on the installer. Is it the FSX.bgl that's the problem.

 

You've downloaded and installed the FSX files instead of the FS9 files. FSX models and textures don't work in FS9, you must download the FS9 files or FS2004 will just ignore them.

Something tells me that is where the problem lies. I know that in my Sim I can use either but in FS2004 I don't think the FSX plans will work for you.

One last question on the WoA. Do I need any thing else , or does the woai,s have the specific airline callouts. And thanks to you all for the help and guidance on this issue.

 

The specific airline callsigns should be correct. The only other thing would be the [exits] for the aircraft so when they park at the gate, the jetways will extend. These will have to be entered manually for each aircraft.

WOAI is updating select AI packages. I do not know which ones.

 

Alphia India is where to find updated AI flight plans as well as new airline AI flight plans. They cannot be used to update WOAI packages. They are compiled using TTools. Alpha India uses a different method.

 

FAIB and Project AI for the AI models and liveries.

They will expect you to use their AI flight plan compiler. They no longer recommend TTools. They recommend AI Flight Planner (freeware) at http://stuff4fs.com/open.asp?Folder=AIFP&JS=TRUE

 

I prefer to enjoy WOAI as is as the process piecing together flight plans with AI is just down-right tidious, and aggravating for me. I cannot help you very much.

 

I picked a flight plan from flightaware.com. It was a Southwest Airlines flight from KOKC Will Rogers World Airport Oklahoma city, Oklahoma to KLAS Las Vegas McCarran Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. I taxied to 17L at KOKC I saw a few other southwest Airlines B737's taxiing as well to 17L. The time table seemed to be right. I took off 25 minutes after the real world flight took off. This is why I felt WOAI as is now is perfectly fine. I have the entire USA Commercial and Cargo WOAI packages installed.
