flyer8
To have a bit of fun and lately, I've begun to time short hops. See if a GA flight to KSBA would be faster than simply driving from Santa Monica. I already know that it's going to be longer, thought it would be interesting to understand just how much longer. While, I do have licenses for many advanced aircraft, I've found myself to have become completely enamored with the Default C182, which is no longer default, as I have been immersed in modifying it. Short story, I would like to place a timer in the non-ifr cockpit. There's a really nice Davtron M803 Timer by Pierre Fasseaux in the library here and am looking at creating a pop-up panel-slash-window for it. While looking at the 2D panel, I realized that the default clock has another window-area which is both attached and above the digital readout. The area is highlighted with a blue elipse in the attached screenshot... It kind of looks like the annunciator but can't find any documentation for it. Would someone please identify it for me. Boy, I would love if that was a timer readout attached to the clock-timer in the virtual cockpit... Please advise and thanks!
ColR1948
Sorry I can;t help you with the clock but I'm interested in what and how you modified the aircraft, I have CTD (compulsive tweaking disorder), personally though may be not realistic I would like it to fly a bit faster but obviously not like a jet, just slightly. tiger1962
flyer8 - I'm not at my FS PC right now, but a lot of FS digital clocks show time and sim rate (x2, x4, x8 etc) try running at x4 rate and see if it shows on the clock. mrzippy
In the next Sim after FS2004 the default C-172 has a similar clock. The bottom part shows the clock and with a push of a button switches to an elapsed timer. The top portion is an oat/volt meter. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! Interesting...it does diplay some information when clicked in the C182, but I'll have to take a look at it again. The last time I looked it didn't make much sense, but with this new perspective, maybe it will! I think I'm destined to replace the display in the Cessna anyway. Like to have a Clock and Timer in that tiny space. Thanks for taking the time...much appreciated!

Yup, I'm similar and do have goals in mind. There are a few tweaks I've made to the C182. Pretty standard stuff so far. I like Jim and Opa's compass but would also like to find a really detailed traditional (Round Ball) compass as well. If you see one, please let me know! Working List...
