mrzippy Posted January 14, 2015 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Don't know anything about MTOP or NTOP but I never use full power for takeoff. In the bigger jets 737, 747, A380 I am usually around 90-92% N1. Smaller piston/turboprop aircraft like the Dash 8 it's around 85 to 90% N1. I know a lot of people will stand on their brakes before applying 100+% to their engines for takeoff. In the real world their engine mechanics would want their heads on a platter!
