Hello, I commonly swap textures between Sascha's prior releases, and Howards TNW files. I noticed that something happened recently where when flying at night using current calendar dates, I have no snow textures at night. Can someone please tell me what texture names I should be looking for? No idea why in either of the textures folders that I swap between don't display snow. Day with with either is fine. Thanks very much for any assistance offered. Neil

LD-767: Coming out of auto-braking, plane still brakes to complete stop.
Qballbandit replied to Qballbandit's topic in FS2004
grau, I believe with the LD-767, initiating manual braking does just that - puts it to "0". I see that happening with the selector knob, but physical results with the plane don't match - I brake to a stop without applying further manual braking. This problem manifested on my new WIN10 machine. Been flying the LD-767 since it was released; PIC767 prior to that. Never had this issue through the years, which is why I believe some setting/value did not get carried over form my old system to the new - just don't know what it is. Zippy, thanks for your suggestions, I'll try the LD forum. I don't have autobraking on other planes that I fly. Neil -
LD-767: Coming out of auto-braking, plane still brakes to complete stop.
Qballbandit replied to Qballbandit's topic in FS2004
I'm in position 2 for landing, for example. Touchdown, spoilers activate, auto-braking engaged, and at 80 knots, I hit the "brake" button on the yoke (like I have done for years) which visually switches the selector back to "off". However, it is as if auto-braking is still bringing me to a stop. -

My mistake in describing my action - I actually disengage it by pressing my "brake' button on my CH Yoke. Neil -
Hi, Something I am not sure of after recently setting up LD767 on my new system. During landing rollout, I usually have the RTO/Braking set to 2. When slowed to 80 knots, I come out of RTO/Braking (disengage back to off), but instead of coasting and letting me take over with manual braking, the plane will slow to a stop fairly quickly. This did not occur for the many years I flew the 767 on my old WIN7 setup. I am thinking it is a setting, somewhere, but can't figure out what or where. Would any LD-767 user be familiar with what I may look at to correct this? Thanks very much! Neil

That is fantastic. Kudos to you for taking the honest approach. And thanks for your willingness to share with the community! Neil

Damn fine job. I'd be proud to fly with those textures in my LD767! Neil

No hope for the Cloud9 product, I am afraid - per an answer I received on their forum. I'll need to figure out my AFCAD mystery with KLAX V2 at this point, I guess. Neil

Hi Mark, I am breaking down and creating a post on their forum today. Not sure how long it takes to get access though. I'll let you know how it turns out. You can also follow my post there, I guess? :) Neil

Luke, no - I have not. I was really hoping that one (or more) of the forum members here had suggestions, I have e-mailed FSDT for support twice, and got no response. I have read their posts, but have no clue what the stand alone installer did for me once I downloaded and installed. When I have time to join and follow yet another forum, maybe I'll try and post there if I hear nothing back here. Neil

Good evening, I hope I can explain this clearly. On my old WIN7 machine, I had a copy of Cloud9 KLAX for FS9; bought it when first released. Airport worked flawlessly, and my personal AFCAD was 100% functional. I have an old copy of a receipt that includes a serial number, and I have the .reg file (Cloud9_Los Angeles.reg). Fast forward. Built a WIN10 gaming machine, and am unsuccessful carrying over the Cloud 9 version as it asks me to register my "trial version" when I open up a flight in the airport. I go into addon manager, select "Cloud9/KLAX, etc. and choose register. I enter the serial number, and it never responds back - and I assume it's because "eSellerate" no longer exists? I could not get anywhere with the FSDT team that now hosts a V2 version of KLAX, which is supposed to be for FSX & FS9. Maybe because FS9 is legacy, but their whole purchase and support is the most convoluted mess I ever dealt with. I would like to know if anyone has suggestions on how to get this airport functional again??? As a backup, I purchased the V2 yesterday. I have it installed and registered, but like their KORD (for FS9), my AFCAD files do not function as designed, where some planes are in their right spots, and others are completely off the grid incorrect. There is something I can't figure out with these two airports where the AI planes don't behave like all my other airports that behave 100% correctly with my personal AFACD files. So I either want to get the old one, which I knew functioned 100% correctly working again, or, get the new one to work with my AFCAD, though I can not figure out why AI parking is such a horror show. Ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks very much! Neil

Level-D 767: Not recognizing SIDS & STARS after reinstall on new system
Qballbandit replied to Qballbandit's topic in FS2004
BTW, because my sim is circa 2010, I just copied my old nav folder back into the Level-D folder, and I am squared up again. :) -

Great post, as that "suddenly" happened to me as well. I just stopped flying there, but will look this over once again. -
Level-D 767: Not recognizing SIDS & STARS after reinstall on new system
Qballbandit replied to Qballbandit's topic in FS2004
I will have a look - thanks Steve!!! I did look at other posts there, but missed that piece. Tried running without AV on, I already have UAC off, tried comp mode with WIN7 & WINXP - all to no avail. I'll let you know :) Neil Edit: SUCCESS! Installing the XML file did the trick. I see SIDS/STARS, etc. Now..lol, I have this new AIRAC file, and apparently some outdated airports where runway numbers don't match, but I'll deal with this over the prior issue. Thanks again Steve! :) -

Tried a flight with the new AIRAC cycle, and it made no difference. I'm at a loss. I see if anyone at Level-D can provide further suggestions. Neil -

Ok, thanks folks. I went to Navigraph, joined, and downloaded the latest (2013) Airac Cycle. I'll give it a go tonight and report back. I know I was working on on old cycle, but it doesn't explain why the FMC was not seeing the data. Neil -
Level-D 767: Not recognizing SIDS & STARS after reinstall on new system
Qballbandit replied to Qballbandit's topic in FS2004
Hello Luke, and thanks very much for your reply. That's the thing - I have compared those folders on both systems, and they contain the same files, with the same dates/sizes, etc., so I don't understand why the FMC isn't recognizing that they do indeed exist. Hmmmm...... Neil edit: this is FS9, but the folder path is the same. -
Hello, and hoping Level-D 767 flyers may be able to offer some suggestions - On my new WIN10 gaming machine, I have everything working after some minor challenges, including my LD767 suite, sans one issue. The one thing I can't seem to figure out is why the FMC is not recognizing SIDS/STARS. I am confident that everything was carried over from my WIN7 system to the WIN10 system, and can't see why the FMC doesn't see these files. I can load all of my saved flight plans, all waypoints, etc. seem to exist, but when selecting my destination runway, for example, it plugs the runway at the end of the flight plan with no choices for STARS, and nothing entered in for the missed approach procedures, which I used to see. Looking for confirmation as to where this information is stored from a file standpoint, so I can recheck the WIN7 system to see if I can lift it and get it on the WIN10 system. Thanks very much for any suggestions! :) Neil

Ah yes, I do have that key you show above. I'll try that, and also have a look at the .ini file. Thanks for the suggestions! :) Neil

Thanks for the reply, CRJ, but nope - my FS9 is in it's own folder with admin authorities, outside the Programs folder. Neil

Interesting...may need to swap in another WIN10 style keyboard, as the older one I am using does not have a FN key. Luckily, the new machine came with a new keyboard, so I'll give it a go! :) Thank you. Neil

Hello, On my new WIN10 gaming machine, I have a challenge with SweetFX. On my WIN7 system, I ran FS9 in Full Screen 100% of the time, and the "pause/break" key would activate/de-activate use of SweetFX. On the new machine, I have to back into Windowed mode to activate/de-activate, then go back to Full Screen. Is there something I need to do differently in order to accomplish this in Full Screen? I apologize, my SweetFX knowledge is slim. Thanks very much for any suggestions. Neil

Took me awhile to sort out issues after installing FS9 and all of my add-on's onto a new WIN 10 gamer I just configured - but, all working now. Just need to solve a glaring shimmering issue I am suffering through. Neil
