A quick reconstruction of Membury Airfield EGOC. UK MSFS.
All models are included.
I was asked by a member of flightsim.com to reproduce Membury Airfield.
I thought the time was right to recreate the airfield (just artistic licence as I can't get down there)
RAF Membury as it was known was opened in 1942 and closed for operation in 1946. The base was supposed to be used by the RAF but the USAAF took over and stayed till the end of the war.
Membury became a hub of activity in the run up to D-Day, as the 436th worked with the 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles" to train on glider landings for Mission Albany. Five C-47
aircraft from Membury were lost on D-Day.
Unlike many of my Farm Strips Membury is remarkably easy to find. At the side of the Membury Services on the M4 and right next to a 1200ft TV Mast.
As an introduction to the airfield a good short flight would be from EGCR Aston Down. Fly 080 until you overfly Cirencester, follow the A417 south for approx; 15nm (8 mins in the Cessna 152), passing South Cerney RAF Base, over the leisure lakes of South Cerney, with the old disused  RAF Downey on your left. Staying with the A417 as you pass over the town of Swindon where you meet the M4 turn left following it for approx; 7mns. You will see the remains of Liddington Hillfort on your right as you turn to follow the motorway.
You can't miss the airfield due mainly to the massive solar farm surrounding it.
Try landing on the hard runway - 23/05.

Belle-Vue-Airstrip for  UK MSFS.
Found another field, I have missed. Located near Great Torrington in Devon. There is a large radio mast as the side of the field to aid identification.
It's a long flat strip  (625m) suitable for most single engined aircraft 08/26

While flying to Eddsfield, I noticed the terrain needed some attention and the code was wrong, it's EGWO.

I wrote this scenery originally for Neil's Farm Strips Vol-11, but when flying there it didn't look quite right so I have re-written it.

I am just in the process of touring the beautiful Emerald Isle and am flying up in the North West area and have noticed a couple of private farm strips. As there are no airfields in the area these would be a great starting point to tour this lovely unspoilt area of Northern Ireland.

Carrying on from our exciting Volume-2 tour of The Isle of Skye, we venture further north into the at times desolate areas of the Scottish Highlands where we’ll fly over areas probably never seen or trod by human feet.
We’ll discover and fly over many of the areas mountains, or Munroe’s as the Scots prefer to call them. And land at sometimes fictional pop-up airstrips and hopefully learn a little bit about the beautiful Scottish Highlands on the way.
I think you will be amazed at Scotland’s mountainous terrain.

In this volume we fly up from the Isle of Rhum to Broadford to begin our tour of the magical Isle of Skye. Skye is Scotland's largest island that has a wild mountainous interior with a whole host of Munro's (Mountains over 3000ft) and offers the UK's best walking and mountain climbing in the country. Not forgetting the driving enthusiasts, the island offers many exciting mountainous drives to find hidden coves.
For the pilot I have created a few fictional airstrips to make our exploration easier for those people who have limited computer time.

Just for fun really
COLV-Colvend-Golf-Club, Dumfriesshire, Scotland
A fictional runway on a real golf course. A very challenging uphill to the north strip. Suitable only for STOL aircraft. I have chopped a few trees down to make landing and take-off easier.
Located on the coast near the town of Sandyhills in Dumfriesshire
I have included my models. If you are a user of my farm strips you will probably already have some of the models. Simply overwrite.
 
I have included a VFR flight (PDF) from Carlisle Airport.

Simply unzip the file into a temporary folder and copy/move the unzipped folders into your community folder. Overwrite if asked.
If you don't like mixing all the folders into your community folder I suggest you make another folder for my scenery. Simply rename your community folder-community-org. Create a new community folder and copy all my folders into here. Copy across another other scenery\aircraft that you use.
When you want to go back to your original rename the community folder community-neils and change community-org back to community. Simples.

As I fly my way around the strips I have created over the years I am just correcting and updating them. due to the ever increasing terrain model due to Asobo improvements.
I have just mowed the grass.
