Yep SP2 shipped with Acceleration i believe but i had to update my boxed Deluxe version manually. Steve doesnt say what version he has installed?

You will need SP2 for the HIGHMEMFIX to work

I wondered where that went too Dan? If you do a search in FSX Scenery Objects they are all in there! Musta got moved?

I agree Mark i think my fears were unfounded, MSFS looks more like an XBox game than a sim imho. Gonna upgrade my rig slightly (1060 gpu and cant decide whether more memory or a bigger SSD for FSX?).

Sounds like a windows issue, theres a lot out there about folders being copied but not the files in them. Many people having to copy files individually. Looks like you have fallen foul of it too.

No! Its not pointing to any scenery just the addon scenery folder in FSX? Copy your current scenery.cfg and save it somewhere, then go back to the original and delete that entry. Start FSX and if all ok jib done. If not you have another problem all together.

You buy 10 DVDs for the boxed version of MSFS2020 yet you still have to fly online to get the scenery like in the screenshots???

Great to know guys my fear was that MSFS is such a radical change and visually stunning that all the others would get left behind! Personally i love FSX and its gonna be a long while before my rig gets upgraded!

Just wonder how long this forum and downloads for FSX will continue after the launch of MSFS?

I know when i can afford to upgrade my rig i probably will depart too, seems a real shame but i guess thats progress!

Apologies if this has been asked before but i am still confused about the scenery for MSFS? Will it ship with the boxed dvd as with all previous versions of the sim or is it purely an online application?

This is the MS advice but i am guessing you have been here too? If none of this works I can feel the dreaded uninstall/reinstall coming!!! It all points to FSX Acceleration by looks??
