  1. Agreed, this is way more complicated than it needs to be - I’m not looking to turn every replay of a landing into a cinematic production. Knowing this is the direction they are taking with “replay” it looks like I’ll be pursuing one of the third-party addons, even if it’s payware. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Make sure you have ground traffic set to zero and the main traffic option set to “off” (as opposed to ai-offline or real-time traffic). This assumes you are using AIG Traffic Controller to inject the traffic. Any of the Asobo settings aren’t smart enough to know not to put a Southwest plane on the ground in Sydney. 3. The AIG Traffic tool was just released in beta too. It’s free (well donationware) and you actually get the correct model pairing assuming it exists - some are still WIP - and injected accurate flight plans (i.e. no reliance on MSFS’s buggy live traffic). Also airplanes actually take off and don’t just sit queued at the gate. Installation is somewhat clunky but I can’t see the need for Aerosoft payware that does way less at a price, other than maybe ease of installation and better bug fixing. 4. I use live weather by default. I’ve noticed that when planning a flight the winds reported at an airport may not match in game. For example, today I planned a flight from DFW to ATL. The winds in the menu when I set my departure were 290/15, so I set my whole flight up assuming a 35L departure and SID. Once I loaded the flight the winds in the game were 170/15, indicating 17R would be more applicable. What gives? Is there any way to modify the departure runway/SID once the game loads if you’ve selected it in the planning menu? Flying the default A320, by the way. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Do you have mixture mapped to one of your joystick/controller axes? I have an older saitek throttle quadrant and was having issues with engines randomly shutting down. Completely unmapping mixture fixed it for me - rarely use it enough to warrant the shut down issues. This was a fix recommended early on as some of the older devices can have issues in MSFS. 6. Using IFR low altitude may help when setting your flight plan? Otherwise I read somewhere that you may have to physically save the flight plan prior to starting the flight for the altitude entry to save. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Agreed, plus the misleading “maintain present heading and altitude.” Once the expect vectors callout comes, there are visual waypoints that are created with random names like “log” - I think you are meant to follow those visual markers and NOT maintain heading and altitude, or what’s in the FMC. Problem is you have to manually dial in the headings and fly toward them and they don’t give the heading unless you request vectors. Not super realistic but using this method usually gets you better aligned for landing and ATC keeps better track of where you are. Hopefully this is fixed later on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. This happens to me as well, seems to not like flying the approach around 150kts without driving the nose into the ground and totally cutting off pitch up inputs. I read in the main Microsoft forum it could be resolved by leaving autopilot on all the way through touchdown or something? In any case doesn’t seem at all realistic behavior, regardless of what the aircraft systems are doing. Was much better before the update even if it floated a bit in the flare. 9. Yep, noticed this too. Took me a couple times to understand that they were spelling out O.N.E., just sounded garbled at first. Nothing like being cleared to land on runway oh en eee two right :) Wonder how such an error could materialize? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
