  1. The sim is developed for Xbox first and is PC-compatible second. The Xbox Series X|S has an "instant resume" feature where you can quit one game, play something else, then go back to the first game and carry on from EXACTLY where you left off. There's no equivalent on PC and never has been, so PC simmers lose out.

Sorry, this was released for the computer FIRST. You're wrong!

    To quote WINDOWS CENTRAL:

Microsoft Flight Simulator launches on August 18, 2020, exclusively for Windows PCs. The title debuts on both Steam and Windows 10's own integrated Microsoft Store, which is available in three flavors ranging from $60 to $120 for additional planes and airport upgrades. By now, you've hopefully glanced over the PC requirements too, making sure your machine is up to scratch

    Again, quoting WINDOWS CENTRAL

During the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase at E3 2021, it finally happened: Microsoft Flight Simulator for Xbox officially releases on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Game Pass for consoles on July 27, 2021. Microsoft Flight Simulator is, of course, already available on PC and Xbox Game Pass for PC.

  2. Possibly.

I remember in FSX I could do direct routes and not use the FMC at all, and it was a straight line flight to the destination.

Even a short flight in MSFS (Vegas to Reno, for example), has a couple waypoints that require banks as you say, but in my real life flight, it seemed to be a straight shot.

It is still possible in MSFS. Select Direct GPS on the flight plan screen.

  3. I ended up buying this aircraft. It is my first purchase since having MSFS. I only did it because my brother in law works for Honda. He was so proud that their jet was being introduced to MSFS.

My first thought on this air craft, there are many problems. Auto Pilot does not work, you have to have flight sim set as Modern or it will flip over on the runway when you hit 60mph. (if set at legacy). I was banking the plane after take off and it stressed and crashed according to my flight sim. When you detach the different MFD's from cockpit to move to additional monitors, not all of the display moves to screen. This is my first attempt to get the plane into the air. After second attempt, I made a short flight and landed VFR only Did not try the IFR landing system as of yet.

It is quite enjoyable to fly. I really do love this little bird, and its a challenge for me after flying single engine props for the most part in the sim. I too have just recently mastered landing with her, for practice makes perfect, before doing longer flights.

  4. Okay, so I've finally decided to take the Navigraph plunge to be prepared for my PMDG 737 purchase later this week and my Honda Jet Purchase later this week.

Can you all give a complete noob to Navigraph some tips as what to expect with the subscription? I mean, when I use the charts, does it show the position of the aircraft in an overlay on the chart so when I taxi I can have it on my second monitor and use that as a guide? Also in flight does it show where I am on the charts?

Do the navdata info interfere at all with the way points in the sim when I update the sims navdata when the airac cycles come out?

Just a couple of many questions I have, figured I'd start off light for you all first on them.

  5. I've enjoyed WU IX's enhancements of cities, and especially all the people in places like Piazza S. Marco and Il Vaticano. But the trade-off seems to be a dramatic deterioration in vertical surfaces, like the landscape near Sorrento in my screenshot. (If you go closer, it gets better.)

Is this because the scenery in WU IX is too dense for my rig? I haven't yet seen this problem outside Italy.

Your P.C. should be quite capable. I haven't tried it yet with my sim, but I fly mostly state side so let's hope nothing will happen with mine. Sorry I can't be much help.

  6. If this is the default Longitude, Dakfly's Longitude Mod on flightsim.to fixes this and many other issues.

I had downloaded the mod, and installed it. Now I have THIS

for my Longitude selections. The only thing is, do I have to choose the FDE Fix version to fly it, or can I choose any of my installed liveries or do I have to do modifications to dson or json files for my liveries to work with the new version? That's where its getting confusing now....
