  1. It sounds like you're doing it right, but just to be clear, you are hovering the mouse over the PFD/MFD that you want to pop out right? Then you press the right ALT key? You might try searching your keyboard bindings for "New UI Window" and see if yours is assigned to something else.
  2. Thanks Tim. I see how that works now for both cruise and FLC modes.
  3. I wonder if this is a bug. There is a “Speed” dial which you would think would set the speed for a FLC climb/descent, but it doesn’t do anything. FLC does work, but you have to use the “Nose Up/DN” buttons to move the speed. Weird.
  4. I don’t have that Mooney, but did you lean the mixture? It will need a lot of leaning at that altitude.
  5. I’m on the Steam version also and there was definitely some things to download from the Content Manager.
  6. First thing is to turn off all Assistance. Then double check the assignments for the joystick to make sure they didn't get reset with a recent update. I've got the same joystick and I've got it set like this:
  7. It looks like you've got the wrong frequencies entered in both cases. Your text says 117.5 and 116.0, but you've entered 116.05 and 117.05. I tried the numbers in your text and they work fine, though 116.0 didn't come alive until I was off the ground.
  8. Are you loading an approach or just dialing in the ILS frequency yourself? It does work with loading an approach. I just tried a short flight KSFO to KSJC ILS 30L. It has already switched to the ILS frequency for me and brought up the LOC1 dial. You'll see the green dot on the right side which is the glide slope coming down. Right after this I engaged the APR mode and in a few seconds it captured the GS and you'll see that in the 2nd pic.
  9. I just set up a flight in the Baron at 2000 feet MSL, 150 KIAS, autopilot ON holding altitude and heading. On dropping the gear there was immediate drop in airspeed to 148 then slowly dropped off and settled at 145 kts in maybe 15-20 seconds. It seems like there should be more drag than that.
  10. I had this same problem back in November. Here is the fix: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?335058-Navigating-the-World-Map-after-new-update&highlight=Mouse
  11. Hi Aptos, nice job on the hand flying that ILS. It looks like the AP was handling it fine, you were still under the glide slope when you turned off the AP at about 29 minutes in. If you would have waited another 10 seconds or so it would have captured and started descending for you.
  12. I’m not the OP, but this still confuses me. In his picture it shows that his airspeed is below the warning area so it seems that he shouldn’t get the overspeed warning?
  13. Here are the Autopilot functions I've set on my joystick. You'll probably want the Reference VS along with the Reference Altitude buttons. Hope this helps.
  14. Have you tried other RNAV approaches in the Baron? I did the RNAV 19 approach to KFLO today without problem in the Baron. It's just weird what's going on in your video.
  15. I noticed the same thing and it really messed up my first couple of landings. What appears to work is to hold the button while employing the reverse thrust. This is even though I’ve set a button to “Toggle Reverse Thrust”.
  16. What’s really sneaky is that this doesn’t show up in the “Known Issues” in the release notes inside the sim. I read the notes as the sim was downloading the update so I’d guess that’s the same notes. It DOES show up in the Release Notes on Flightsimulator.com. Weird.
  17. Thanks guys, that did the trick. I had looked at the Release Notes this morning, but I didn't even notice that one.
  18. I can't seem to spin the globe around anymore after this update. It makes it hard to select intermediate waypoints. Anybody else have this problem?
  19. Oh crap, it looks like it doesn't show the actual Top 10. It's just the 10 scores around me. It's still showing me 6th on the list at 615K. :(
  20. I’ve only had the 1 flight in the F18, but the key is airspeed and the Flight Path Marker. I think the directions in the landing challenge said 140 on final so I aimed for that. The cheat code is the Flight Path Marker, that little round thing in the display. THAT is what shows you where the plane is going. If it drops below the threshold then you had better re-check airspeed because you going to need more power (if you’re slow) or more elevator if you’re fast.
  21. First time trying the F18 landing challenge and I’m #6! That Flight Path Marker is the secret… I’m sure it won’t last long, but it’s nice for now. :)
  22. Those TIME waypoints have really messed things up. Here is my workaround on the stock G1000: In the plane, open up the flight plan on the PFD. It probably shows that you're current segment is from the last waypoint to your destination ( which doesn't make sense because you are still on the ground.) Use the knob to highlight CAFEN and then push to Direct To button and Activate it. The GPS will then cycle through your waypoints as you expected.
