Thanks Cavulife, but that CAMERA/COCKPIT CAMERA/TOGGLE HUD VIEW is probably for the MSFS 2020 HUD you can use for any aircraft and, I believe, is situated along the perimeters of your screen.. On the B787-10 (and more than likely on modern fighter aircraft) the HUD is part of the real aircraft. Check out the link:
Boeing 787 Head-Up Display in detail - YouTube
It is very useful, especially for us older dudes with fading eyesight, but at times you'd like it gone, and would be easier to click on/off with a keyboard assignment.
You might want to try it rather than "believe" it's not what you want.

Just put mouse on it and click. Same to close it.

Update for everyone! This morning, I took a look at all the assignments relating to control surfaces as well as the autopilot. However, I couldn't see anything amiss except for button 3 being assigned to internal/external views. I changed the assignment to button 4, and that seems to have done the trick for some reason. As far as the joystick is concerned, there's no button assigned to the autopilot functions (that's all either mouse or keyboard-controlled). I took the ole Bandit out for a spin, and the autopilot held beautifully, even having switched from interior to exterior multiple times. I'm not sure if there's an unknown malfunction with the brand of joystick I have, or if it's because I'm just a noob at all this. But I'm absolutely relieved that all seems to be well for now. Thanks again everyone for your support. Cheers,
George
P.S. - for the longest time, I was quite comfortable with using just keyboard and mouse commands with FS9 since most of the panels I used were 2D. Having almost no experience playing FSX and migrating over to MSFS, it's been QUITE the learning curve! So needless to say, I really thought I was doing something wrong with the joystick, having never owned or used one prior.
I have the TM Airbus stick and just tried a flight with Autopilot and didn't have a problem when selecting Button 3, or button 4. Button 3 for me is "Reset Cockpit View". The A/P stayed connected.
Just to confirm, when you Filter for "Assigned" and click to "Search by Input" and push your button 3, does it look something like this? There is nothing else that comes up?

It’s a problem with the T.16000 stick. I’ve had one for quite a while and after MSFS 2020 came out it got a lot more use and became a problem. You’ll probably notice in an external view that the rudder is moving by itself occasionally. It’s not something that you can really “fix” with sensitivity adjustments.
There are YouTube tutorials about how to take the stick apart and clean it. I’ve don’t that twice and it works for several months, but the problem returns. I’ve recently switched to the Airbus version so we’ll see if that holds up better.

I currently do not have my pc running, but I think I remember seeing in a pull down menu the option to go to the arrival time line of a flight plan. Ive used it a time or two. Next time I get to fire up the computer again I'll post specific details.
Yes, there is a pull down menu option to travel to some preselected portion of the flight. For example Descent as Cas141 asked about.

So I have the flaps deploying but can't get them to retract I couldn't find any conflicts I assigned it to the keyboard and joystick it doesn't retract the flaps the only way is to go into the cockpit
So the flaps WILL retract from the cockpit lever?

I have the Thrustmaster T16000M and am using the throttle slider on it as the prop pitch control. In order to do that you need to set your slider/lever to operate the Propeller Axis, not the Increase/Decrease Pitch selections..

I just did a couple of laps around the harbor and I don't show as many boats as you do, but they all look good. I think I have the same ship that you have in pic #2.
I don't see that mesh that you've got. I don't use any mods.

And here is the video-
Also, I had uninstalled Norton, rebooted, running with MS Defender, which right away detected MSFS as bad, lol.. Had to allow it.
It looks like spikes DOWN in GPU usage at a regular interval, maybe your 3 seconds? There are also spikes UP in CPU usage, though they don’t go very high. Weird.

Where did you get the 27.99 number for the pressure? That seems awfully low since “standard†pressure is 29.92.

I re-started a B747 flight from KPIT-KLGA and while sitting on the KPIT threshold with broken clouds in front of me, clicked-on ND Range (20 miles), TERR, and WXR (as the video did). Again, 20-mile range arcs and our location showing in magenta appeared, but no WX. After clicking-on just WXR (no TERR), nothing changed on the screen...
So, I tried clicking-on just ND Range (20 miles) and WXR. Still, no change in the screen...I do not know why I am not getting a WX picture (like CAVULIFE), when seemingly doing exactly what he did...Anybody see a reason?...

Are you sure that there are storms in that area? I think WXR only shows rain/snow, not just clouds?
Try looking on SkyVector for an airport with rain showers and take off from there.

I’ve been using the Reverb for a few months and really enjoy it. I think it’s important to have everything possible programmed to a button rather than relying on the keyboard that you can’t see.
I’m using the Thrustmaster 16000 stick and the TWCS throttle so I’ve got lots of buttons and they are all assigned. The last thing I have to do with the keyboard is the “R†+/- for the Rate, but I don’t use that often.

. . . in which they can mess up a routine update.
Installed WU X (USA) and took off from my home KDCA. The DC Mall was completely messed up, a geometric pattern instead of the grass, and the Kennedy Center was missing entirely. So shut down, went to my Community Folder, and removed the freeware Washington Landmarks from Drizewswicki designs. I thought there might be a conflict.
Reopened, and went back to KDCA and took off. Same thing! The add-on apparently had nothing to do with it.
Any suggestions? Seems to me the update screwed up what was there before.
Did you also look for updates in the Marketplace and the Content Manager?

Has anyone successfully got two monitors to work or is 1 monitor overall the better choice for performance. Im simming at 1080p.
Im not a fan of 3d cockpit so need to find a perfect position in the cockpit to be able to see my controls easily, ex. Numbers, letters
I use the 2nd monitor for the ATC, VFR map and I drag the PFD over there because it’s more visible.

I’m not sure that there is a definitive answer to Steam vs MS Store.
I purchased through Steam and have had no problems with updates. With that said, the update process is pretty unsatisfactory. Sometimes an update then requires you to go to Content Manager for additional updates and sometimes it’s the Marketplace. I routinely check both locations for updates “just in caseâ€. They may have their reasons for this, but it’s unlike any update process I’ve ever seen.
I believe some of the MS Store people have reported having problems that required signing out and back in to their MS Store account. I’m interested to see what their feelings are.

You might want to check the parameters you’re using to climb to your altitude. If you are setting a climb as 3,000 feet per minute for example, that might only work to a certain altitude and the plane can’t maintain that rate so the nose will drop until the airspeed increases and it begins climbing again.
If that is the problem, then just use the FLC mode so you can set a speed for the climb and it will adjust the rate of climb for you.
Hope that helps.

The glass cockpit of the TMB930, King Air, the DA40NG and theJMB-VL3 are messed up after the last FS2020 update: the left (speed) and right (altitude) scales are showing a succession of XXXXXs instead of numerals and none of the keys under the PFD and MFD display were working. In addition the AP was on without possibility to turn it off and both PFD and MFD were barely readable (too dim). Interestingly enough the A320 and the B747 PFD are also messed up! Could there be a relationship with a buggy Garmin for these planes? I am not excited at the idea of deleting/reinstalling the entire FS2020 program…
Thanks
JLB
Have you installed any aftermarket avionics that maybe don't work with the latest update? I've only flown the TBM since, but the avionics are working fine for me.

Regarding the Thrustmaster, once it's plugged in it should be recognized by the Sim in the Controls section. It will probably have some default options set for the various buttons. You can select "Search by Input" on the left and push one of the buttons to see what the defaults are. You can then change those to something else.

There was a thread on Flightsimulator that mentioned a bug in the entered wind speed. This was from early March. It said that there is an issue with winds being feet/sec rather than knots.
I’m not sure that’s true, but if you enter winds of 15 assuming that’s knots and the sim takes it as feet/sec, that would equate to the 8 knots you actually reported.

So Randy is just an alias. Your real name is Fred isn’t it. :D

I haven't had this problem for quite a while. I thought it was fixed in one of the last updates.
When I had this problem, my workaround was to load the approach BEFORE the last waypoint in my plan.

I've also noticed the the 787 no longer shows the ETA at the next waypoint. As you can see in Budreiser's pics, the Zulu time of arrival in the top right is blank.
