My next car will not be a Ford. Does anyone care?

The Men In Black from Ford will be calling on you to use the 'flashy thing' and make you forget about posting that!

FWIW, I've just posted in another thread that I think a few features in FS2020 are merely 'place-holders' and have never been properly updated or fixed - it was probably easier to start from scratch with them, hence FS2024.

Not everyone wants to "fly a camera" in 3D cockpits nor have to wear odd headgear.

I agree completely. The first computerised machine I ever worked on was a photo-typesetter which was entirely keyboard controlled because mice hadn't been invented yet. That machine was serviced every 6 months and the service engineer once told me that the keyboard was such an important part of the system that it should be inside the casing, not outside! So in flight sim the keyboard, mouse and monitor is the right way to do it for me, even more so now that I have an HDR curved monitor which removes the 'fish-eye lens' effect on flat screens in MSFS, and adds 10 FPS believe it or not!

To address the OP's points, I have to agree to some extent - when you start looking under the hood a few of the features of FS2020 are merely 'place-holders' and not many have been significantly updated or replaced so far. It was obviously easier to start from scratch with those, so let's hope that's what they've done with FS2024.

Some have the Issue, some don't. Why it happens? That's the $64K question...

The MSFS library files are affected, other libraries seem to be unaffected. For those of us who contribute to the MSFS libraries, this is as embarrassing as it is frustrating.

I override the block then scan the download, it is clean;  a couple of times I have uploaded the files for an online scan ...all clean.

Not many people will go to that trouble; they'll take the warning at face value, cancel the download and get file from elsewhere if possible.

I hate to say this, but if you refuse to investigate, the conclusion is obvious: I won't download from your site anymore.

This is the conclusion which most members have already arrived at; nobody wants to download a clearly flagged virus.

    Good morning.

I have downloaded a Boeing 787-8 from CamSim, in this site. When I try to fly, the plane is floating about 2/3 feet from ground. How can I solve this?

Thanks in advance your kind answer.

Please post your question in the FSX forum, this is the MSFS 2024 forum.

Never was an issue since I bought MSFS and my new gaming PC. (Specs in sig) Only recently has this been happening.

It could be due to a gradual build-up of memory-hogging add-ons lol! I doubt it with THAT rig though...  Maybe it's a corrupt livery on an AI traffic plane somewhere.

I am having the same issue, although not on every flight.  I changed from the development version to the FBW A 320 to the stable version to see if that was the issue but it did not make much difference.  Sometimes, but not every time, pressing the Pause  key will get it running again.

I'm surprised that a GTX1660ti can run MSFS on three monitors AND TrackIR3! I suspect there's a bottleneck there...

  8. It could be that your Xbox Credentials were corrupted in the power outage. You can delete them and restart your computer, when they'll be regenerated automatically.

To do this, type Credential into the taskbar search window.

    Click on Credential Manager.

    Click on Windows Credentials.

Click on each entry beginning with XblGrts and select Remove - there are a lot of them, but it beats a full re-install!

Close Credential Manager and reboot your PC.

This sort of thing has happened before. More than likely, the cause is an upgrade to your browser, to Windows, or to some other security software you are using.

I'm only seeing the malware warning on downloads from flightsim.com, downloads from other sites are fine - this is with MS Edge browser.
