Why do these updates have to be so big?

Since he last update, when I start using my gamepad to land, the hidden task bar becomes visable. Very annoying and never happened before this last update. Actually, when I move the gamepad, the mouse cursor goes over to the left side of my screen, where the autohid task bar is. Why would it do this?

Ok, but if it's getting stuck on a different file, that may mean you're making progress. I told you I got stuck over 10 times. Did you buy from steam or Microsoft?

Yes you're right. I understand no point in posting if you don't have an answer. I'm just frustrated. Sorry for my rudeness, I appreciate all the help I've gotten on this, my favorite, forum.

Hi everyone so I’ve been playing the simulator since it came out and the other day I went to run the mandatory update that we all have to install. The problem is it starts the update and after 1 or 2 percent it gets hung up during when it says it is decompressing a certain file and never continues and now I can’t play the game. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I have tried a completely different ssd drive with a fresh windows install and it still gets stuck when it reaches the point that it says it is decompressing. Why? Thank you
It's been doing that to me for the last couple of updates too. Just abort the update and then restart it. Then it will update the problem file. I had to do this up to 10 times. It usally happens on aircraft. You can also delete the problem aircraft if you see it's name. I make changes to aircraft cfg files, and I think this may be the problem. Don't give up. Eventually it will finish the update!

Recently, it's sometimes taken a long time checking for updates. This happened before the last update. Today, it took 7 minutes checking for updates. Then another 5 minutes to get to the main menu. Is this just slow internet? My speed is 35 mbps, but last update I was only getting 2 mbps most of the time. I'm in the Philippines.

Before the update, the heading bug moved very smooth with the keyboard. Now it's very choppy. I got one large studder, 1 sec, but not micro.

I bought it in September, and haven't had that many CTD. Maybe 3 or 4.

I've never been able to register for the Microsoft MSFS forum. Other people have this problem too. But looking at how many airports Asobo knows have been missing since last Augusts launch, that haven't been added, I don't think Asobo cares what people post.

The c17 looks good, but has a problem with the engines. 3 go off when you get on the runway. The author says hit crtl-e and wait and then they will go on. But that didn't work for me. Then he said slew up to altitude and they will start. That worked, but not the best solution.

I've tried a bunch of the freeware planes. So far they've all worked pretty good. The airbus h135 helicopter was stable.

Flies well. Autopilot works good. Only thing is, it looks a little cartoonish in spot view. Don't see any reflections off it. Maybe that cause of the stealth.

Is this the first freeware plane made specifically for msfs?

There should always be ocean swells whether there's any wind at all. Why should you have to set the wind everytime you fly.

Ok. Thanks for telling me. At least I know it's not something I'm doing wrong. Unfortunately, I can't vote because I've never been able to register on that site. Quite a few other people can't either.
I looked at the whole post, and I can't believe how many airports are missing. You would think there was a database somewhere that Asobo could use to get them all. Pretty weak. I noticed in French Polynesia that when I got to some locations where there were supposed to be airports, there were just trees. I'm using msfs2020vfr map to find them. How come they're on openstreetmap, but not msfs?

Which airplanes and perhaps a couple examples of missing airport codes you're using could be helpful.
I'm flying in French Polynesia. There are many airports that start with NTG. Some I can enter, and some I can't. For instance, I can enter NTGR and NTGM,
but I can't enter NTGS and NTGE, even though the airports exist. I'm flying the Beech Baron and the 787. With the Beach Baron, when you turn the knob, it just skips over the letters you can't enter. With the 787 it says "not in database ".

When flying over very remote islands in the Philippines, I notice some have many buildings, that can't possibly be real. I thought blackshark.ai was only supposed to put buildings where they actually existed on bing maps.

I use MS Store so not that helpful... quick question are you using the built in marketplace in MSFS, because that should not be a problem.....
