  1. I downloaded SP-1 Ok. SP-2 had a little trouble but think I did it. Watched changes in FSX files as I proceeded. Seemed like things were going OK, then, got Error message 1-80004005. Couldn't find it. Finally, I decided to uninstall AS16 and reinstall it. Now I can't get the zip file to open the new download. Tonight, I will have my night-mare. I'm too tired to deal with any more.
  2. From what I can read, that just might do the trick. I'm bushed right now, but I'll try to install it tomorrow. Thanks a lot Mr. Zippy.
  3. OK. I see as_srv folder. By the way, when I open AS16, it gives me a messags "No Simconnect Client found". Then, "A valid Simconnect managed version was not found to be correctly installed on this system. You must have FSX SP1 or SP2 SimConnect Client installed in order to use FSX mode with AS16. AS16 will continue to to operate but will not update FSX weather. It is recommended to uninstall and reinstall the latest FSX SP update so this can be repaired (Please go to http://www.fsinsider.com for the free FSX SP1 or SP2 update). .......... I can't find any SP1 or SP2 data; went to "insider.com" and was told it was not longer available. Now, it seems, I'm getting ready to have a "Night-mare". Appreciate your help.
  4. I don't see a file name as_serv. On the FSX folder or the disk files. Maybe under a subfolder?
  5. I've have FSX. It lost "Real-World WX" some time ago, so I've added AS16 to replace it. However, I can't get the two programs to work together at the same time. Something is missing. Any thoughts?
  6. I just purchased AS16 and installed it 6/19/19. It seems to work OK. But I start FSX. It works OK. But I can't get the two of them together to work at the same time. I tried to connect to HiFiTechinc.com and join a Forum to find aswers. I registered, posted a message, and came back a few hours later to see if there were any replies. When I tried to log on, it told me the password was wrong. I tried over and over until it wouldn't let me try again. Waited a day, went through lots of "bull" but finally got a temporary password. Tried it. It said it didn't exist. now I'm down to one more attempt to log in. I'm frustrated like you wouldn't believe. All I want to know is "How Do I Get AS16 and FSX to Work Together?" Maybe someone reading this message might offer some suggestions.

    out of memory

I'm looking at the AS16 Active Sky program and wondering? If I solved the "out-of-memory" problem I had by reducing the complexity of the Graphics and Scenery settings to 80%, then wouldn't I be adding back the same problem I originally had if I add the Active Sky program?

I subscribe to WSI aviation weather. Would this be the "third-party" utility, you mentioned? How does a third-party utility work with FSX? What existed a long time ago worked very well. I'm sorry to see it has gone away. I fly mostly instrument flights, so I do miss the challeges FSX offered when Real-World weather was available. Maybe I'm just going to have to forget it and create my own weather. That is not as challenging as natural weather senerios. Thanks jgf.

Your ideas and suggestions led me to the source of the problem. It's in the "settings" of the program. I found the settings to be set at "Ultra High" or 100%. Then I remembered I re-installed FSX a little while ago but never bothered to look at settings. The Scenery was set at 100% Ultra High; the Graphics was set at 100% Ultra High. I reset both to 80% or High and tried flying the planned route again. Done, and no glitches anywhere. Flight time 1.5 hours, gate-to-gate. Thanks to all of you for your help. Funny, I still have the problem, can't activate "Real-World WX", says I'm not connected to internet. My computer is. I guess I'm not. Dahh! Any suggestions? Thanks again. Gipper

I did defrag the PC and that helped a little. I also deleted quite a few flt sim files from the Recycle Bin and that helped a little. Then I turned to the "help" button in flight sim X and it gave me a place called "out-of-memory". Well, I'm laughing out loud at myself because here it says, "Run Disk Cleanup", then says go to "Start Menu" then, Programs, then Accessories, then Syst. Tools, then "DISK Cleanup". What's funny is, I don't know if they are talking about pressing the "start Menu" of the PC or the Flt Sim Program. So, I haven't been that route yet. Whew, I'm out of breath. So far, I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. I'm not real PC smart, so I'll have to go slow but I think I'll get there. Thanks to everyone. Gipper

My MSFltsimX has gotten where I can fly a B737 for just over an hour's time and it gives me a message, "out of memory" and shuts down. A long time ago, I could fly more than 3 hours without any problems. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? Thanks. Harry
