Hi i have 2 copies of v5 install 1/ on my cockpit with a GTX1070 driving 3 32in curved screens in my cockpit, handles it well the PC struggles in build up areas so must keep the sliders back a little, the second runs on my test PC which is a ageing i7 with a GTX760 works great with a 24in monitor and no stuttering. One thing I will add is I moved over to v5 when Microsoft started trashing FSXSE and then released a copy as freeware prior to the release of MSF. I decided to reinstall SE last week to explore the possibility's of producing a copy of TNW to sort it out, wow Steam has really gone to work on it the 3D trees for my money are better than Orbx I know Orbx are credited with the best quality plus the new mesh is very acceptable, my advice is have a look at FSXSE more airports more aircraft better comparability and runs very stable with lots of improvements. I'm not a insider but to me Lockheed Martin is been limited by Microsoft because of 1/ Microsoft Flight 2/ Lockheed |Martin do not have a entertainment licence for FSX which is the base program. Sorry for been away for a little while but been tide up with with TNW2021 for P3Dv5 and glad to get back in my comfort zone just to clarify the TNWRTO on C: is the first thing the TNW installer creates, it makes a complete backup of all the directories that TNW uses it can be safely deleted when you are 100% happy with the results. From the start of Howard Mix back in 2007 the idea was to try and eliminate the synthetic look and the scenario ( I've just flown past that cloud) hence the re-branding to The Natural World it was at that point I was happy with the results, although there is still a lot in there which was created on early freeware editors it the over all effect that is my main focus to much detail in some cases I find has a adverse effect, Thanks for the feed back its always welcome. Hi all thanks for the feedback just to clarify a couple of points, the first thing the TNW installer dose is make a complete backup of all the folders it uses and places them on our C: so you can restore the part or all the instillation. with regard to the second FS2004 directory that is not purposed to happen I will have to rebuild the installer and upload. I must admit I did not test it I just uploaded it after converting for a two part download and install to back into a single, sorry about that, just been that busy creating TNW for P3D v5 and FSXSE plus building a new AMD computer a i9 equivalent to go in my cockpit. I got the new Global 2020 mesh for P3D v5 which looks about the same as the old Global NE which would not install but it is possible by moving all the installed files from old installed sim them adding to the Scenery Library in P3D not perfect though, I produced The Natural World 2021 scenery available in the store here, therefor visited a lot of airport I did not see an real problems and given that the mesh all used to be done from the same raw data you might be OK, mesh and good scenery makes for a much more realistic flight. If you understood how all this type of upgrades work then you'ed realize that Orbx would do the same to any other similar addon, same with the trees, you asked me! please appreciate the truth from me. As for testing with Orbx I dont think Orbx have tested with any other software and why would they.

The auto gen and 3D trees are installed with the program and work world wide without any further input needed.

I have had no Orbx scenery to test but I would say yes, If installed first then no Orbx would work as normal. I had FSX Steam before Microsoft screwed it and the other simmers I new uninstalled orbx installed my scenery then reinstalled Orbx worked well In steam also worked in my well acclaimed FS9 version which today is still very popular today, the beauty of doing that is you get enhanced scenery in the areas Orbx do not consider viable Howard

TNW2021 is a program that upgrade all the landscaping worldwide in P3D v5 to a more detailed and varied environment, it also corrects all the autogen and 3D vegetation to look real and natural as it does in the real world. Howard has always had a great love of the natural world and has been recreating the virtual world since 2007 to look and feel as near to the real world as is possible. Hi It is possible to draw a road onto a ground texture I have edited them for years and still at it for P3Dv5, the problem is there are only 7 textures in a set which are repeated so you would see the bit of road again and again and in other parts of the world. Not really possible to if it covers over a more than one texture I seem to remember seeing a long time ago a program to place all the road from a map but never really looked at it so cant help, airport builder If you can see a small access road. Hi Sorry I should have posted some progress updates but just been that busy changing my cockpit and finding my way round P3D as its a sim I have never used, I stuck with FSXSE which was looking Fab before Microsoft took back control and screwed it before their release of there latest rendion, normally I have people round for a flight experience in my cockpit so taking advantage of the lock down. However I'm glad to announce that the trees in P3D still need a little tweaking to stop them changing the shading as they zoom in and out other wise they look really really great, will teak them after I release the prog. I have done a lot of work on the ground texturing and after doing a flight over Switzerland I've decide am not going to install my Switzerland Pro latest version as it looks that good. The mesh in the screeny's on my site is Global 10 I just added the files from my FSX into the Scenery Library moved them down to just above the default, I have never seen Global l0 look so good with very little elevation issues. I am still on track to release version 1 this month I was hoping for freeware but having hardware problems with my old i5 so might have to make it low cost pay ware or donation which is something that I have manage to avoid in the passed it will be posted here on flightsim.com and be well worth the wait with free life time updates, it will be called The Natural World 2020 I will post some screen shots soon. Hi most of you will never here of me but I first started producing scenery in about 2006. Knowing that it is going to be quite a while before I can afford the hardware to do the new rendition from Microsoft justice I bought a copy P3Dv5 after Microsoft totally trashed my FSXSE which I had looking great with a lot of privet updates that I had produced. So now to v5 as you must have noticed the 3D trees are totally unreal and for me they make the sim unusable, I am nearly finish the first run of the upgrade and will be releasing them on Flightsim.com next month the second run will better colour coordinate and be a update, I have also identified a lot of ground texture issues some of which I will include in this release hopefully the full scenery package will include some buildings plus clouds improvement and a Texture Swap Program for those flying mainly semi arid and arid areas. I am 76 and not in the best or health but hopefully I will have all this work behind me and back doing what I enjoy most apart from been with the long suffering wife, and that's FLYING. I to am 76 and have run SE in my home build cockpit, and totally fed up since MS clawed back control of FSX since then things have started going pear shaped, things may settle down after the release of 2020 on ever update since then the update have turned SE into a sim that not nice to fly. may of the ground textures have been made very blurry with a grey effect over them and down sized to a 1/4 of the original size that's the same as FS 2004/2002 ground textures, plus some building have had a blue mask placed over them. That about says it all, I have been working and burning the mid night oil to fix this and have my sim looking a lot belter than new with 2.03 GBs-3,943 files of enhanced texture . have you got the disk or download version, I'm dyslexic so don't visit this forum normally, and mainly respond quicker to emails so best let me know by email if you respond to this post.
