  1. as a steam user I got the mandatory update yesterday, and then 2 other updates in the content manager. This thread reminded me that I had to go to the market place and "purchase" the world 10 update (and yes its free) to download it. the size is around 5.6gb. The download took just short of 40 mins and installed fine. hope this helps, and :D Happy :pilot: Flyin' AD
  2. The specs of the new rig look, I'm assuming the GPU ram is at least 4gb, 6 better but it'll run MSFS fine. As to your other question you can download it to as many PC's as you want but can only ues it on 1 PC at a time. I have the steam version delux. I love it and use it almost every day. I still play with FSX from time to time but there is no comprising the 2 in my opinion. Hope this helps and happy :pilot: flyin AD
  3. If you are wanting to run high graphics or better you'll need the nivida RTX 3070 or better, the 3050 is good and the gtx 1650 will work at the low settings. I see them (RTX 3070 ) starting for around $500 USD and up depending on the amount of ram and such... If you have the 1650 I'd use it and save/wait for the lower price and then upgrade. AD
  4. I got MSFS on day 1, and yes I know there are a few issues here and there. I do enjoy flying it low and slow and FSX for my long haul flights. I LOVE how much better MSFS is over FSX with regard to scenery and now that I'm getting used to flying the 172 It simply awesome to me. I find the bridges issue to be comical and yes I'll live with it. Happy :pilot: Flyin yall KJAX/KORF
  5. I,m flying at 3000 just past KNIP over the St Johns river in Jax FL with the Buckman Bridge in front of me, half is under water and I'm wondering if its ever going to get fixed.... Happy :pilot: Flyin AD sends
  6. I think what with the age of Europe versus the good ol USofA there are more POI's that Europe has and it's as fair as history has made it. I've lived just north of Lisbon PT, Bahrain, Kabul AF, Guam and many parts of the US. I love looking for all of the places I have lived, all the POI's I can remember (CRS sucks) and just in general flying around finding new places to see. I say Asobo has done a great job so far. I understand it's a work in progress but so far as I'm concerned it's well worth the $120 (or so) purchased price for the full dlx version. Sit back and enjoy the flight and learning new things and places... Happy :pilot: Flyin AD
  7. after weeks with Logi support I have a new panel and it works, this has changed how I fly, I now use the heavies as well. If you don't have this I would recommend it. Well worth the price (Amazon $139.00) and you actually have control of the AP system. Happy :pilot: Flyin to you all and the next cop-o-joe is on me... AD
  8. sounds like you need to close out and reboot your pc and then try to run the updates

  12. I'm going to wait for a while before I jump into Win 11, I don't like all the control Microsoft has over the updates and I'm sure 11 will be no different.
  13. What worked for me was to wait until the next day, no problems and took around 10 mins.
  14. Mike that was the trick, thanks for your help. Fresh java for you both...AD:pilot:
  15. Mr Zippy I have tried the default 747-400, PO opensky 747-4 also. it bounces while at the gate/parking and while taxing. Haven't tried with engines off but will try that.
  16. I'm flying the skyspirt 2011 AF1 747-800 and the plane bounces at the parking/gate and while taxing. I have tried to change the settings on graphics from ultra to high, med high and finally high, also tried changing the plane to the same, still bounces, sometimes causing it to crash. any help is much appreciated. Thanks, AD
  17. Matt your Processor is fine, gpu should work well, bout the only thing I'd add is more ram. I didn't see how much memory tour gpu has, but 4gb or more is good also a large SSD hard drive, is a must. AD
