  1. Looking good! Did you decide what to do for the seating? I'm still undecided on whether to use some chopped up office chair, find a small car seat at a pick-and-pull, or use a boat seat (which someone recommended on some forum or other).

I'm about to start my monitor hood too so it's good to see yours as inspiration!

Itmustbesaid - I can provide more detailed pictures of the building and cutting for the pieces of the monitor hood. Let me know and I will post them. Regards

Itmustbesaid: I have several ideas and thoughts. I saw one design I thought would work really well in my combat simulator that I am going to assemble next, but wasn't sure how it would work for my C172 simulator.

I will post some of the seat ideas in a blog later this week. I really like the seats that are in one of the videos I found for the CS-1 Stallion but I was unable to find the plans. Best regards

  3. Darryl, I loved reading your blog, and yes some of us do read the blogs on the website. Especially since I plan on traversing the same route in a couple of years once I finish my C172 simulator currently in progress. I have flown several 737 simulators around the world and I am very interested in building my own someday. I have not revealed this to my wife of 32 years but I am pretty sure she knows my ambitions. After all I just spent a little bit of money traveling to the Flightsimcon 2015 conference in Hartford CT with a connecting trip to Toronto Canada to fly a 737 simulator at Threshold aviation for four hours. I am planning on possibly making flight simulator flying a business here in Arizona since we have a huge aviation base and was one of the only places other than Reno to have our own air races.
