It was the game bar that was on. I don't know how it got turned on.. So I turned it off and things work well again. Thanks Robin. Win 10 seems to be so complicated !!!!!!!!!

Yea I saw that an will try it. I got the sim to run once today but not every time I start it. It just quit working. I deleted the last 2 win 10 update. I sure don't understand why it quit. I don't have many games to see if they will run. This sure is a mystery

Things have been going good with FS9 until yesterday when I got a new update for Windows 10. Afterwards FS9 started up with the window of the DC3. Then I got a message " You'll need a new app to open this MS-Gamingoverlay" I have a mouse so I clicked the right button to get the program to continue starting the sim. It deleted the background and went black. The little wheel came up and just stayed there. The sim did not complete the start up Using Ctl Alt Del if got the Task Manager to show and clicking it I got no response. The only way to get out was to turn off the computer. It is a Acer A515-51-5398 and has been working well until the Win update. Anyone have any ideas?

I got the early c-17. What I am going to do is delete all the versions and going to put them on again from the delete folder one at a time and try one at a time. Getting the panel to load the gauges from the cab is one of the problems I really have. BTW thanks for the reply.

I mean that the gauges in the cab do not load and you are looking at a panel with no gauges. So that is when I substituted the 747 panel so I would have a panel and the#4 engine ran away at least on the way I had it configured.

Well the gauges for Stone C-17 are in a cab. I looked at it and the cfg calls them out but they do not load for me.

Since i don't fly large planes I have not encountered this problem. I have been trying the C-17. The Stone one and the panel does not load the gauges for me at all . The copy for the 747 panel the #4 engine runs away. So does anyone have a soultion?

Yep what ever it was!!!!!!!! I sure don't know what fixed it.

Well after a lot of messing around with the sensitivities and realism I got the sim to work like it was. I sure don't know exactly what I did to correct it but it sure was frustrating. Don't know if the joystick itself was the problem or the settings in the sim was it. The throttle even reversed itself at one point. Pushing forward retarded instead of advancing. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well got a rudder sensitivity problem. I have coordinated rudder unchecked so I can use a twist Logitech Wingman to use rudder left and right. I have the sensitivity changed around to get a solid rudder neutral when not have any twist applied. The plane dances all over the place and there is no control. This was all working fine and then the problem showed up. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what can be wrong and how to set the null and sensitivity in controls to fix this. I was thinking something went wrong in the sim itself and can no longer can be adjusted. Any ideas?? Thanks Don R

Thanks guys for the information. When I get the new one I will do some testing. Sure is a lot of pieces in one of those joy sticks. The force feed one to me is really tough one to use. If you let go of it it just wobbles around but the the other one non force feed returns to center like the yoke would.

Well I just said the heck with it and ordered another new one for $ 30 tax and shipping.

It is the non vibrating one. It just says Wingman. Digital 3 D I got a used force feed as a replacement and it is awful. The one I am currently using is great other than can not look out the left side which is tough on left hand patterns. I wanted to take it apart and clean it but was concerned about wild springs flying out. Now on the other hand not too much hockey talk but the Steelers are revamping.

Hi Wondered if anyone has taken apart a Logtech Wingman joystick and cleaned the contacts so the hat switch works in all the positions. I have one that will not work to the left side. Also, is there anything to watch out for like flying springs? Thanks Don R

Since we are talking about runways, does it matter where rwy 12 is located in the list of sceneries. I would think is to be first since other scenery would use objects. After all these year I don't know where to place it. Thanks

Welcome Carlos. As you are good for the simulator. I don't have X-Plane but you also had FS98, FS2002, FS9 and now FSX Acceleration. This 'game' is quite complicated by the requirement of having a good computer. Mine is 6 years old but it gives me 30 fps in FSX and I am not going to buy a new PC because it is too much and I don't earn much more. You can spend $ 5,000 if you want. I bought the separate parts and built it myself, but not everyone can, and they fear him, that it is fair. Look at my specs and start looking for something similar on the internet networks.
