  1. Sorry, my mistake its tomorrow Friday the 11th, Veterans Day in the USA
  2. Today! https://www.flightsimulator.com/microsoft-flight-simulator-global-release-times/?fbclid=IwAR07LWsen2-Qa2UQLEWm3JKaNOj9EmXQ516p_fXsdhto5ubPXtGxZrEaGVw
  3. You can get a lot more help and information in the dedicated FSX forum. https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/forumdisplay.php?25-FSX Its much bigger than MSFS forum and it stays busier than this one.
  4. Thanks to your help I have made full contact with Bruce. Thanks again
  5. Does anyone have any information about this great author: Bruce Kennewell? He has published more than 100 addons for FS 2004, 2009 and FSX. I'm trying to ask for permission to re-do one of his "missions" for MSFS, I have obtained his email address but have gotten no response, his last publication was on 2012. I'll appreciate any help or suggestions.
  6. Welcome back to the MS Flying World! You have the same concerns that I had at the beginning. The initial installation is going to give you a minimal choice of what you can or can't install, but the good thing is that after the installation you can remove lots and lots of items that you are not interested on, and it does get taken off the HDD for good so you can free large chunks of the HDD. I did take off most of the training and what I considered useless stuff and I'm still removing and adding new things just like we did in FSX.
  7. Great video and great memories. I still have all of them saved in their boxes. Since 1.0 I was always behind the eight ball in respect to the latest hardware, but just as in MSFS 2020, I always happened to manage!!
  8. Flew to Storm Ian of the coast of Ft Meyers FL. Went inside the eye of the storm but too dark to take pix. Lots of fellow simmers doing the same thing. I'm in Broward county and hope everyone in Florida will be OK!!!
  9. Smooth landing! no problem downloading and installing, it took me 20 minutes in my slow connection but the end result its great. Excellent test flight with my favorite plane F-35b!! BTW has anyone found any benefit of the additional window on multiple monitors?
  10. The sooner we get multiple monitors the better will be for all!!!
  11. See active storms: Javier, Earl and Danielle at National Hurricane Center: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/index.shtml
  12. As of August 2022 this is the most simple, easier and accurate way to move your MSFS to another drive. It worked PERFECTLY for my MSFS MS store version with no additional procedures.
  13. I apologize if this is not the appropriate thread for this since this is sort of Sci-Fi, but I would love to see this on MSFS some day:
  14. Re inventing the wheel has been part of FS since version 1.0 and come to think of it, it has open doors for creators, newcomers and competitors. A better mouse trap will always be around the corner..
  15. Fully agree with all that have been said. You can find excellent professional level planes in freeware as well as in payware. Case in point the freeware DA62 B-25 Mitchell fully animated WWII plane its an excellent example, but by the same token, there is a freeware B-52 stratofortress which landing gears do not retract which shows the biggest difference between freeware and payware: Most payware offer continuous and fast updates, my best example: the magnificent IndiaFoxTecho F-35 Lighting II
  16. I tried to track the latest hurricane Howard by getting info from The National Hurricane center https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/index.shtml and I got the coordinates for its location and was ready to input it into MSFS but to my amazement when opening the world map I found Howard already depicted on it!! Using my F-35 I did several passes around it and it looks awesome, since I'm using live weather I will try later during day time to fly over with my Hurricane Hunter WP 3d. I can't believe MSFS not only has live weather but also live storms!!
  17. Sfojimbo, Same here. I also used the 172, but a month ago I obtained the F-35 Lightning II with its marvelous hovering capability I've visited just about all the cities and town and lately started a high speed high altitude covert-op recon of the major Russian cities.
  18. I was on the process of designing an excel app so I can enter my MSFS flight data sort of what LogEdit did automatically in FSX when I realize that I could just use Logedit to manually create a logbook. Well Behold! LogEdit lets you manually log all your flight data so I don't have to resort to creating a new app!
  19. cool, I don't know how I overlooked that! Thanks
