Just updated the 1.21.13 update and now I cannot turn off the external hud gauges. Any clues?

Stumbled across this thread looking up the definition myself. Now could somebody ask those designers to "Bespoke" the bridges as well as the airports.

Fixed it! Not really sure how but I knew something was blocking it as it works in my other computer I replaced the module folder and files from that one to the one not working. I did get an error window about the flight recorder not working. Dismissed it and all the weather works now RE and ASE. Still learning after all these years. Now if I can just get a handle on the MSFS the new one. Yey!! Not sure what it was in the modules because they were all the same named files all 50 of them. Must have something to do with that particular recording utility might never truly figure it out.

Well I some how got both REX and ASE working on my older computer but not with the build I have here as my signature. I must be missing a setting or something but for the life of me at a loss. Like the weather just isn't being injected or talking to the FS9 program.

I have had all that in place for years really, years but been a about a year since I checked out my FS9. I haven't found anything I changed so am at a loss. REX, AS and AS Evolution all work with my FSX program.

Thank you, that is a plausible answer. As you can see my FSX build is much better and I would have loved to try MSFS in that build but didn't want to lose FSX by going to windows 10 and then the massive memory MSFS requires and the 32 GB makes sense. The MSFS AI still has a lot to be desired like not having Southwest Airlines showing up in Sydney or Tokyo (Ha!Ha!)

I seldom fly my FS9 anymore I have FSX and MSFS but last night neither my Active Sky Evolution 0or my REX FS2004 Overdrive would inject the live weather into my FS9 program. I haven't changed anything and they used to work. My other FSX program using REX or AS work fine. Any ideas welcome.

I was having a CTD (After a couple updates ago) every thirty minutes sometimes a couple hours depending where I was flying the came across a forum thread I forget where but try turning off the ai traffic offline and online. I have been experimenting a couple of months now and have same issue with the AI traffic. If I leave it off the MSFS will fly all night. I really like having AI traffic like FSX WOAI and MAIW.. If they have the feature in the program why can't I get it to work? Anyone else have this issue? I am trying to give these Asobo Designers the benefit of the doubt I understand it is all about money but hey I spent a hundred bucks on their software and their support system is worthless took them two months to respond to my support ticket and then they said they couldn't help me and the https://forums.flightsimulator.com website gives more questions than answers. Fortunately we still have this forum. Anyway here is the computer I am using for MSFS and it does run the program rather well.

Well an update not sure what was happening maybe I just needed practice but as I slowly added my mod's to the community folder to isolate anything cause my flipping over landing I ended up installing all the files making sure I could complete a successful landing between additions and now I can land but the aircraft is awful squirrely. All over the runway on takeoff I use peddles to. Hard to believe the real aircraft produced that much torque.

Hallelujah!! I found well almost what is happening. I emptied my community folder and was able to land.

Nothing gets by me. Now I had around 148 addons in there Ha! Ha! Would have thought it would have been a little more forgiving. Now just which one or ones are the culprit?

I checked and double checked that but thanks I know I might not be an expert but man I land every other airplane I have ever downloaded and this one has me stumped. MSFS does have issue but have landed all my other aircraft just to check. I really hope I"m get a response from BigRadials or maybe someone whyo has this aircraft I love a puzzle but the restart time in MSFS doesn't help here either

I can it it in the air but when I try to land it's like the wheels hit a pot hole.

There is something seriously amis with this aircraft. I can land every plane in my hanger this wants to flip over tried everything I think maybe the last update did something! Not sure but now a little angry because they took my money not fair! I have deleted and reinstalled it as well it acts like the brakes are on even though you turn them off once you are in the air. I have contacted thier website see if I get a response.

I have been trying the lower speed actually almost a stall like landing my Tomcats on a moving carrier. Surly it is something I must be missing but with the experiences I have had with the MSFS platform since buying it three months ago I can't be sure I have read about so many issues and bugs and all the aircraft so far I have been trying out fly like something out of the HiTech Creations Aces High. But I have landing me Stearman and Cessna without any trouble If it was happening to me in FSX I would suspect something in the airfile but I am reading others land without any trouble I can handle to torque I can get in the air. I don't know getting a little disappointed glad it was onle $25.00

I agree completely, but Big Radials don't - they insist that the flight model and ground handling is accurate. I haven't bought anything from them, they haven't impressed me at all.

 

Me either unfortunately we do not have as many choices like we have with FS9 and FSX being somewhat of a collector pride of ownerships comes before the crash Haa! I think my favorite design and it was free was the F86 from section eight. I have the IRIS P40 and though the virtual cockpit is lacking I found a nice 2D panel for if only if we could port some aircraft over to MSFS but I think the designers at Asobo are working against all the free add ons I suspect greed. Thank you for your input I do feel better knowing it isn't my limited experience.

I read that some people land without trouble but no answer to why I just want to flip over even if and when I find what I am doing wrong seems a little unrealistic shouldn't be that complicated I have hundreds of different aircraft from different designers in my simulators and something is wrong here.

Anybody know how to land the P40 Tomahawk without flipping over? I read to manual, I been trying different things I know where the hydraulic pump switch is on the stick and been trying holding it down. What's the secret? I been landing aircraft in the FS9 and FSX and MSFS for years but this ones got my stumped. I just can't find anything on it I watched YouTube videos and it seems to work for others.

L must be missing something been landing FS9, FSX and MSFS props forever but I just purchased the P40 and

msfs p40 tomahawk flips over on landing. I check CG and settings the manual recommends but acts like the brakes are on maybe they are. Any suggestions?

Past couple days when I start up my Active Sky (AS2012) The Status screen shows the regular text news what have you but when it finishes startup that uper window of the status screen just goes blank (white) Everything else seems to be working normal. Getting the same thing when I started up my AS Evolution to. Anyone know what is going on?

Thank you for the tip. I am testing that right now. I checked using offline on and live off but never the reverse. I also have been using or trying with both live and offline on at the same time I gather that would cause a conflict. It would be nice if the designers would let us know I mean I will follow anyone's rules as long as they tell me the rules. MSFS has so much potential but I feel MS has cheated us a bit'

What for the life of me is the offline traffic causing random ctd's in my MSFS? I have checked and tried everything I can think of clean community folder fresh install and as long as it is turned of the program will run well I have had it up to eight hours. When it is on depending on the airport twenty minutes sometimes an hour than bang closes. Here is the computer I am using:

I usually fly low to like 1500 ft in my Cessna or Stearman and so for (just bought MSFS a couple months ago) and after the glorious update 5 I learned a lot on that one Ha! Ha! The only time I get a ctd is if I turn on the offline AI. If other folks have figured out a way to use it without chancing a crash anywhere from thirty minutes anywhere to a few hours without one please let me know your secret.

Found out the reason for my random CTD's was the MSFS AI offline traffic feature. Turned it off and haven't had a crash since however, I would like to have AI does anyone else have this trouble and found a fix? I cannot get or find an answer though read that ms knows about the issue.

For my MSFS actually runs pretty smooth with a hundred third party mods installed just can't use the AI. I have flown over eight hours for a single flight without crashes or freezes well maybe a pause once in awhile but not bad.

The events log under windows log and the application look for the error unfortunately the information will not be very useful. However, google msfs known bugs and might stear you in the right direction. I was getting random ctd's all the time until I found a YouTube video and turned out to be AI traffic. Turn it off no more crashes but nobody has given me a reason why the AI has been an issue for a year and not been addressed.
