    Try downloading the basic version from the Store, and then install the upgrades from the Content Manager within the Sim .

    With most of the updates, existing files are replaced by updated files, so the relative size increase overall is minimal

    I can only make a couple of suggestions, based on real world experience with VOR navigation. 1. Make sure the station you are tuning is in fact a VOR, VORTAC, or VOR/DME facility. 2. Be sure the frequency you input to the nav radio is accurate and correct for the desired station. 3. Once the frequency is verified corect, turn up the nav radio volume and listen to the morse code identifier...it should match what you see on the chart. If it doesn't match, your frequency is incorrect. 4. Turn the OBS to match your current heading, the needle should center. Then turn the OBS to the desired radial and navigate to or from the station. Hope this might shed some light!

    I also bought the SoFly manual, the day after I loaded up MSFS. Read thru the first revision pretty much entirely, now use it as a handy reference. Not perfect, but it does a great job...highly recommend it.

    If pushback doesn't work to your liking, try using slew mode. It works great for me!

    By the way, a STAR is not the same as an "approach". A Standard Terminal Arrival Route leads you to the correct position for an "approach". You might well fly a STAR, followed by an ILS approach. Could be a source of your confusion.

    Don't let retirement age scare you...my father-in-law got his PPL after he retired at age 70.

    +1 The Airbus is not a trainer, and not the first airplane you want to try flying. Learn the basics as a real pilot does, and then move up.

    Don't fly many jets, but I'd try downloading the Working Title CJ4 Mod

    If I need a pushback from a parking spot, I just enter "slew mode" and push myself back!

    Do you mean "fltplan.com"? I get "site not found" if I enter fltpln.org

    When I had jitters on my Saitek throttle quad, I blasted the pots with compressed air...smoothed things right out. It's worth a try!

    Likely it is having trouble connecting to the servers via your internet connection, so it assumes you are playing offline and asks for the disk. Check your internet connection.

    Recheck your controller calibrations and sensitivities.

    Nope. Specified it as the download site and that's where it went (I have the MS Store version, if that matters.) I did create the directory prior to installation too.
