  1. Welcome to the forum(s). I think your hardware "should" be OK at those settings. A couple of thoughts...do you have any anti-virus or anti-malware programs running? If so try it with them disabled. Also, be sure nothing is creating a periodic "dump" or imaging of part of the system. How long do the freezes last when they occur. Is it really a freeze or just a long stutter? Is everything running smoothly between the freezes? What is the framerate your seeing? This info would really help the folks here with trying to diagnose your problem.....Doug
  2. "People just don't know how to operate the aircraft..."

I can't believe I just read this. It seems to me the more you know about how to fly the aircraft the more you know just how poor many aspects of the default aircraft really are. Now granted, the only RL experience I have is in the 172 but I think that's enough to know "how to operate the aircraft".

  3. I think the larger ram usage is linked to folks running 4K and 1440. I am running an odd size, 1920x1200, and my usage is around 11-14 MB. One more thing to look for, the sim apparently likes low latency ram. I bought this computer about a year and a half ago, and MSFS had not been announced. I bought it to run Open Rails and X-Plane 11. I did specifically choose the ram based on low latency. Several tests have mentioned that low latency results in a smoother MSFS.

I'm also running 1920x100 and see the same thing. In all the testing I've done in varying conditions and locations with all the sliders maxxed in FSX, P3Dv5.1, and MSFS2020 I've never exceeded 13GB.
