Asobo recommend starting your flight with the Clear weather preset, then use the in-game menu to select the weather pop-up menu and choose Live weather in the drop-down list at the top. Wait for a minute and the Live weather will load into the sim.

I keep all of my settings on live, including weather. However, 90% of the time I get clear skies and a standard barometric pressure of 29.92 or 1013mb, and no weather when there should be. I know there are still some bugs to be worked out, but is it really that bad? Is there not a way to refresh the weather? I thought possibly Rex had fixed this problem, but the reviews I'm seeing are still mentioning lots of bugs with it. Do we just have to wait for future updates or utilities to fix the inaccuracies?

That fixed my problem. It downloaded another 4.24 GB. I don't get why it was showing that I had the latest version when in fact the USA update hadn't been installed. I also don't know what I downloaded on the release date. The East Coast Tour is working and the Vegas strip looks much better. Thanks for the help!

Sorry for the delay in the update. I have checked all of my data settings and everything is turned on. I have version 1.11.7.0 installed. Check. Still, Las Vegas is not in detail. Just generic looking.

One other problem I'm having, and I don't know if it could be related, is that when I try the East Coast USA Tour, I get a box that says item not purchased. Go to Marketplace to purchase them. I click on marketplace and it asks if I want to Buy and Download. Well, I bought MSFS directly from Microsoft.com. Any ideas? Appreciate the help!

Have you turned up the 3 sliders in the graphics settings? one of them turns up buildings textures. I have all mine on maximum.

 

I've turned my sliders up to 120, everything Ultra. I have a 3440x1440 monitor. Everything else and every place else appears to look normal. Just not Las Vegas. In the Content Manager, everything is up to date, my nvidia driver is updated. Just weird.

I have the latest version of everything installed for MSFS, updates, have my settings on ultra including building resolution, and my buildings have no detail to them at all in Vegas. They look totally generic and in my opinion, worse than FSX. Doesn't look anything like what I see on YouTube. I can't figure out what's wrong. Any ideas?

I use a Thrustmaster HOTAS 4 and so far everything thing I've tried can't stop the yoke from jerking and pulling hard to the right. I've made adjustments in the sensitivity settings to no avail. It just sits there and twitches to the right. Is this a problem on my end or Microsoft's? It worked great with P3D beforehand.

Does anybody know of anyway to tell your landing rate in feet per minute? With P3D I used https://www.lrmclient.org/. However, they don't show any support for MSFS.

I'm wondering if there is a way to still fly the plane while you're in the showcase mode? Does hooking up an xbox controller allow you to still use the joystick to fly? I guess you need 4 hands though if possible. I liked the way the old external views were set up in FSX-P3D where you could still hand-fly the plane. I assume with a bit of work I can set up custom cameras somehow to bring back the external and wing views?

Was this issue fixed with the MSFS simconnect.dll yesterday? Does it work yet with virtual airlines without a massive fps hit?

Are there wing views in any of the airliners? I haven't been able to find the answer either.

Looks like a pie chart bleeding through. I haven't seen any objects even remotely similar to yours. Does MSFS run or does it just lock up on this screen?

The plan is to install an M.2 1TB SSD and install Windows 10 on it (being dragged kicking and screaming, but the new sim requires it), then install the new MSFS there.

 

 

I have windows 10 and my P3D on a 500 GB NVME SSD. I bought another SSD with the intent of putting MSFS on it. Does MSFS have to be on the same SSD as Windows 10?

I agree that it is definitely confusing with Xbox being involved. I pulled the trigger and purchased the Premium pkg and was left confused as to what exactly I purchased. Like Kapitan says, they need two different ticking boxes and better clarification on what's console and what's PC. I'm not the least bit interested in the Xbox.

I have P3D v5 with the hotfix and all of the updates for everything, however, my Enhanced Atmospherics option will go off before I even get the turbofans turning. I have Envshade and Envtex as well as Active Sky, and I can't find any options or instructions anywhere that would override the new option. Is anyone else having this problem or have any ideas? I may just end up deleting all of my P3D stuff anyway come July 18th, so no biggie. Thanks!

Does anybody know any reason why this wouldn't work in P3D v5, the aforementioned title; https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?searchid=77761848 ? I used it with v4 and it really makes your sim come to life when flying over large bodies of water and around ports.

Why not? Does the motherboard only have two DIMM slots?

I've been watching too many YouTube videos that have thoroughly confused me with all of the timings and latency, overclocking, etc. I do have four DIMM slots, 2x8 installed. So, it sounds like I just need to pop out the 8GB sticks and snap in the 2x16 sticks, and fire up the sim and go? Hopefully :D
