I can't seem to get the development version to work after this week's Sim update. I just get a CTD when I try to load a flight. Anybody else having any issues? It's the only thing in my Community folder.

As I fly on a tight budget I'm wondering if anyone has a standalone longitude aircraft available for this sim game? It never hurts to ask. Right? I've tried downloading some of the Longitude aircraft from some sim libraries but none are recognized?

Hi again... Thanks for your responses. I don't do group flights and I don't do saved flights. I've been using MSFS since summer of 2020 and weather has always been an issue but it's seems like inability to changing the time of day and weather type mid flight is a new thing. Btw... What MSFS website gives info on weather being unavailable. Is there a link to that website. The MSFS website I go to hasn't had a post since mid December.

I've noticed the last day or two that I can't get the live weather either. Gives me clear skies and standard barometric pressure.

UPDATE: Just noticed on the MSFS website that live weather is down.

I switched aircraft to Cessna 172 and the trim worked perfectly. It was an easy fix but I would have never thought of it considering the little that I know.

I'm very new to Simming, about 1 month. I've built my Sim and bought all the various equipment. Today I tested all functionality of the equipment, although the trim wheel is mapped to the Sim it does not operate when moved up or down. I re-mapped the wheel twice no effect.

I need a new rudder/throttle/joystick to replace my temperamental and old Black Widow joystick.

 

The Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS seems the obvious equivalent to the Black Widow,but unfortunately is in short supply.

Without spending too much money, what is the best option for MSFS 2020?

I recently purchased the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS and I'm pretty happy with it. Make sure you get the Xbox version and not the Playstation. I've had both, and the Playstation version wasn't totally compatible. I found my Thrustmaster at Bestbuy for I think $79.99. Unless you're willing to fork over hundreds for a yoke, rudders, etc., I think this is the best deal for the money.

Since the latest update, having any version of the A320NX, including the experimental version, in my Community folder kills the instrument panel screens; only the unmodified stock version works for me.

I tried the aforementioned suggestions with the stable 320nx download. Still, not one instrument is illuminated. I can't think of anything else to try. When I delete the 320nx folder in the community folder, I do get the default a320 and the instruments work fine in it.

So, I did the update without backing up or doing anything with the Community folder. After I did the update 3, everything worked in the community folder except for the instruments on the A320NX. I've since deleted everything in the community and re-installed the A320NX and still do not get an instrument readout. Everything else and all other planes appear to be working fine. Any ideas?
