And to eliminate any further elaboration on the EULA I am shutting this down per our policy. Vic

    ATC Text Size

One of the modified files linked earlier in the thread. Vic
  3. Look very closely at all your assignments that relate to visuals and movement. Something is in conflict. There are two devices trying to ocntrol the hat switch. Check any addons recently installed. Do you use anything like TrackIR, EZDoc, etc. Check %appdata%/Lockheed Martin/Prepar3d v4/controls - - rename STANDARD.XML and let P3D rebuild it - that's where all your assignments are stored. If it now works - compare the two files. Good luck, Vic
  4. There are several that come to mind. Radar Contact - older and no longer supported but free PF3 - pretty good overall Pilot2ATC - my personal favorite ProATC - primarily for IFR Vic
  5. Totally agree with Mark. If it didn't work right out of the box when you installed it, I'd move on. There is no "conversion". You'd have to manually look at each part, determine which are causing the issues and then fix them to be compatible. Not an easy job. Vic
  6. I disagree. They are not forgotten at all but there's no need for updating that type of product. UTX is a vector product and GEP3D is a global product. They work and IMHO look far better and are easier on the fps than ORBX products. I particularly do not like the fact that ORBX modifies a CORE P3D file (lclookup.bgl) which can easily cause anomalies with other products. If you choose ORBx, then be wary of combining other propducts. For me, I stay with GEP3D and UTX and use the ORBX regions but NOT global or Vector. Vic
  7. LM strangely enough does not make a/c for the sim. All the models that didn't come from FSX are provided by third parties. Vic
  8. That's been HiFi's methodology for years now. They'll release several betas and then the rc but with HiFi, the beta is just as good as the rc. Usually just minor tweaks before release. There will probably be one or two more betas before rc. I've been using it with no issues.

    New to P3D

Fortunately, you have a great option. Do not buy or use the product and go troll someone else's forum. Vic
  10. AS was updated the day 4.5 was released. Vic

    New to P3D

I must be one of the lucky ones then - I have had no real issues with 4.4 or 4.5. I don't get stutters. I don't get CTD's and it looks fantastic. of course, I don't load every bit of crap that is sold on it and then complain that it doesn't work right. *ALL* of it's fixes and hotfixes and issues? Actually significantly less of those than other software titles. It's still better than anything else out there currently and, as I said, it is continually expanding and improving. The relationship to FSX under the hood is approaching name only with all the changes being made - not to mention 64bit. Vic

    New to P3D

One major difference - P3D is still growing and not a stagnant entity. Vic
  13. Yup. Also several installs with no issues. Also installed the scenery module. Don't know if it's my imagination but the colors seem crisper. Vic
  14. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/517010-solved-vertical-wave-effects-p3d-v4/ see if this helps
  15. If the coding for the gauges, etc is not compatible with 64bit, it just will not work. Vic
  16. Back right console contains the MFD power switches and the HUD is on the front panel. See if you can find the manual for the Aerosoft F16 - it should show them. Vic
  17. They are relevant to V2 also. I think he hasn't updated the title yet. However - most P3D 2.4 users do not use any tweaks. Some might use job scheduler if they want to change from the default but most leave it alone. The FFTF setting is also used some. DO NOT use Bojote's automatic tool. Vic
