  1. Another old favourite, Mountain Top, built right on the Canada-US border (even had customs crossings in the scenery.) Started in the FS-2004 days when the multi-player adventure group used to spend lots of time in Alaska. It looked better in FS-2004, but was still fun to fly in to.
  2. Glacier Peak, only some 60 miles from Seattle, is another one with a great approach. The runway elevation is 10,000 feet. You have to hit it just right. Too low and you'll crash into the mountain, too high and you wont have time to stop!
  3. At Aviation City (KAVA,) taxiways snake between the buildings and parking areas. I've added AI traffic to fields with varying levels of success. KAVA was one of the best, with all sorts of aircraft coming and going and making their way around the city. Time to move onwards.
  4. You've asked this in the wrong place.
  5. KINV, home of the InvisiJet line of aircraft. KMGA, a huge airport featuring perpendicular 25,000' runways. Unreleased. KICI, a scenery area that started back in the days of FS-98 as a way to test different scenery ideas and objects. Once it became obsolete in that form, it was rebuilt from scratch, and eventually upgraded to FSX. Was available only at my old website.
  6. As the new Flight Simulator is about to be released next month, I'm making the rounds to my sceneries one last time. Some of the older ones didn't make the transition from FSX to P3D, and some were released while some never were. All but one are fictional. Starting at KHEP, which I originally created in the FS-2004 days, then recreated it for FSX. KHEP's companion KHE2, never released. A home for the Canadian Space Agency, scenery was never finished. The only non-fictional scenery. Back in the days of FS-2000 I started building scenery for the city of Ottawa, where I live. It went through a number of versions over 20 years.
  7. My first was Chuck Yeager's Air Combat, then graduated to FS-5.1
  8. Back where this trip started. TNG at JFK and then headed home for a nap.
  9. Coming down the valley into Narsarsaq I don't know why I do these around the world trips. Long before they're anywhere close to being done, I'm sick of them.
  10. Already made one dangerous landing this trip, try another? That's a tiny little runway. No I don't think so. Diverting to Paris instead.
  11. Thanks for your comments Brian. This aircraft can burn through an entire load of fuel in just a few minutes if running all out. As for the truck, Telluride is a pretty bad neighbourhood.
  12. From Lukla I lifted off and powered right up to 65,000 feet to glide down to Katmandu. I've been going since leaving JFK, and the sun is finally starting to go down, so I think I'll find myself a nice hotel room to spend the sim night.
  13. This program would be well in excess of 30 years out of date. I'd be surprised if there are too many who have any interest in it.
  14. Many years ago, we did a multiplayer session where we located ourselves down in the southern US where a huge storm was raging (using real world weather) in Cubs, so that the wind alone was enough to scoop them up.
  15. From there, I used the Moving Map display to fly manually up into the mountains and find Lukla. The landing wasn't super pretty, but I made it down.
  16. Headed west toward the mountains, but ran out of fuel and had to dead stick into Biratnagar.
  17. From Eareckson I crossed over to Russia. It ended up not being as big a deal as I worried.
  18. From Unalaska I made the relatively short hop over to Eareckson.
  19. My plan had been to go from Mountain Top all the way to Eareckson, but I didn't have enough fuel. Which doesn't bode well for crossing the Pacific. Unalaska was along my flight plan so I dropped down there to negotiate for some jet juice.
