I clicked the fs9.exe icon & it started ! Better late then never :-)

I installed FS9 in a W7 machine. I found it in Program files (X86) Microsoft Games. I clicked the FS9.exe icon & nothing happens. Express Installation went as usual with requests to add discs as needed. I then clicked to run (play) but nothing happened. Usually a FS9.cfg is put into AppData/roaming/microsoft/fs9 but there's nothing there. I've searched the machine & can only find a 2 yr old saved FS9.cfg copy in a folded where I saved previous FS items. Can anyone offer an insight into this ? Thanks.

Well, what about this = I left this machine for 4 days & have just started it & it connected to broadband right away.........!! I don't do real world weather so haven't any idea about using it I'm sorry to say..................

My problem now is Firefox won't connect to my modem......if it's not 1 thing it's something else !!

Good morning Stewie, I've copied & pasted a working FS9 from my backup HD into this machine but quite a few things are missing so I just kept c&p'ing until the missing items were pasted. I've just tried the weather & it works......... Cheers, TerryW

My wheeze of copy & pasting a working FS9 from the backup drive didn't bring a working weather option......it crashed. I'll do a clean reinstall & see what happens. It's odd that it ran perfectly from the external HD. It's running OK in the 2 other W7 machines so it's obviously a computer problem of some sort......

Hello Stewie, I've just run the FS9 fair copy I keep in reserve in a external hard drive, & the defined + customise weather option works. I'll uninstall the problem setup & copy + paste the one I've just run........... watch this space.

Hello. I've had FS2004 since 2007 & never had this problem before. I think I'll remove this one & copy & paste a working set-up from another computer........I keep a fair-copy for just this sort of occasion. I'll post here to let you know how it goes.............. I also run Golden Wings 3 & keep a copy of that as well.....you never know!

I've not come across this before: I click User defined weather & then Customize weather - FS9 seizes up & stops then crashes. Weather themes is OK. I've looked at other posts but cannot see anything helpful. Thanks. TerryW

The problem is solved. The king air gauge isn't the answer. This 'gauge45=KingAir!Landing_Gear, 600,375,40,109' has to have this 'gauge46=KingAir!Landing_Gear_Indicator, 600,354,40,45' as well or it won't glow red........ Cheers, Terry W.

I'm not at home right now but before I left after replying to you, I found a king350.gau in the gauges folder but the sim was off because I was leaving to be away for a couple of days. I'll try it when I home again. The Comanche is Mike Stones & the panel is mine. I use Mike's products when possible because they are so well made & fly so well. I was alerted to his pulling his web site years ago now so grabbed them all. It was a shame he felt it necessary to throw the towel in. He's my Sim Hero. Cheers & Ill let you know what happens when I'm home again.

Hi, Gauges folder - it's the default Beech King Air 350. I did check. It works in 3 but not in the Piper Comanche.....if it was in the KA panel folder it would only work there but it works in 3 others. Odd.

I am showing a friend, new to FS9 flight sim, how gauges can be moved about from one aircraft panel to another. I have the landing gear from the default Beech King Air 350 (it glows red when the gear is raised) in the panel of Mike Stone's nice Angel 44, and his Beech Bonanza. Both work & light up. However, when I put it into the panel for Mike Stone's nice Piper Comanche with this entry: gauge19=KingAir!Landing_Gear_Indicator, 965,618,60,150 (which works in the 2 above) it doesn't glow red at gear up. I've checked this entry ad nauseum & I can see nothing wrong with it. Can anyone help with an explanation &/or a remedy to get it lighting up !!? Thanks. TerryW.

I'd be grateful to be told how to move the pilot seat viewpoint from the centre over to where I've marked in red.... This is from a Bristol Blenheim where in the real thing the pilot sat on the left. Thanks. FS2004 by the way!

Thank you - I'll check it out. My W7 had FS2004 suddenly stopped this AM (hence Vista in use) & nothing will get it going again, but I found your forum postings so am involved with that for now. I will have a go at EZ-Scenery though & thanks again.

I've had Vista with FS2004 running for 10yrs along with Instant Scenery (now v3) for almost as long. I've had to have the hard drive replaced & have new Vista & FS2004 both of which are running smoothly as always.. My problem is getting Instant Scenery to work. Flight1 are being less than helpful & blame Vista so I wonder if there's an alternative to IS3 I could use? Thanks. -

Yes, I saw these last week but I already have ModelConverterX which fixed the problem a few days ago. I also ran the textures through DTXBMP for good measure. The problem is fixed. Cheers.

I've installed some Scottish airports that uses generic objects. Here's the tower at Wick Airport but the glass isn't in the usual place. I'd be grateful if someone can tell me how to remedy this ! Thank you, TerryW
