  1. What have you tried? Show content of FSX/P3D .cfg. Detail the sims SPECIFICALLY in use with versions.
  2. You can control the zoom, the pan, even the relative position. One cannot do that with a 2-D panel. If the instruments are too small, get your eyes tested, a bigger monitor - or learn how to use those functions above. 2-D panels are on the way out - most modern addon aircraft don't have them, so you'd better learn fast!
  3. I would look to the USB hub - is there enough power to drive two units?
  4. Alabeo, like Carenado, must be re-installed NOT copied. Use the original .exe or download an updated one if you bought from Alabeo themselves.
  5. The C of G. It's not you, its your aircraft!
  6. The TDS is intended for FSX, NOT P3D. The CofG calculation is different in each simulator. There is your problem. What works in FSX will not work in your current simulator Hope you know how to amend the FDE in P3D... assuming you don't have access to the core files you will need to amend the aircraft.cfg and/or the .air file. Good Luck.
  7. To be aware: SimConnect is NOT a `sim` file, no matter its name. It's a proprietary Windows file licensed by MS and is not available to be shared, only downloaded. If you need to d/l any version Google is your friend... https://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/search/?q=simconnect&gidforum=626329820719843130&include_deleted=1
  8. All versions of SimConnect can be found in your FSX main folder under redist?
  9. You do know that your portfolio of Carenado products is available through their website if purchased via them? Going to `register/my account` you should find a direct link to the download and the activation code... it's instantaneously added after purchase.
  10. So they are not accurate. Which I accurately said - and then like Larry justified with the experience of myself and fellow flyers. For accuracies sake, perhaps you can qualify your opinion to counter my own and Larry's by giving us the benefit of which aircraft you fly? I know what these things DO, I just don't think they represent the actual forces at all well... or even the cinematic aspect, for that matter - and the answer cannot be given because our OP has yet to modify the poll, as suggested.
  11. No tweaks needed in P3Dv4. In fact, one can only do harm.
  12. I don't normally defend Carenado but none of my contacts who buy from them directly have ever reported a problem. Could it be your browser or settings, anti-virus or spam blocker? The same thing happening twice and only to you suggests a problem with your box or system.
  13. Try them all. Get what you prefer. None of them are accurate. Perception is everything. I use none of them, I find that more accurate as my eyeballs do not rattle in my head. Quick straw poll among the other sim-users in our flying club reveals none of them do either. Nor does the club simulator. Perhaps `None` should have been included as an option.
  14. Then don't buy from Carenado. The patch-fixed (if not bug-fixed) products are available from trusted vendors within a few weeks of release.
  15. You'll probably need new hardware for controlling the aircraft as they're all USB these days. Review section has some of the more recent yokes, joysticks, rudder pedals and throttle assemblies. Depending on how `into` flight sim you want to get there is some useful software that can run either alongside the sim or even on a separate device like a tablet. I'm with il88pp: Forget FS2004. FSX-SE or X-Plane. This will help inform your choice of computer and hardware.
  16. Ah the simmers disease: Can't leave it alone. I make it a habit to pull out the old crap and reinstall the sim every six months or so and it's amazing how quick you can forget those `supercharging` settings that seemed so important at the time, yet when one goes back to a clean installation get utterly forgotten, Of course, it might be the Rum making me forgetful...
  17. You need to work the tutorials. Most of the videos show rubbish technique. Such as engaging VNAV before take off. Which you do NOT do.
  18. Good to know and it should be OK now. Were it to happens again, at least you know it's the drivers. ...But I dont think it will happen again.
  19. Previous issues with this error code were solved by reverting to older manufacturer drivers before installing new on top, so no I don't think you will have to stick with older drivers but first you have to get P3D to a sustainable level of performance so that's your starting point. As the problem only occurs with the sim there is an outside chance that a repair or file clearance might fix it but have you tried the same stress test with the older drivers?
  20. So you didn't rebuild the shaders file in P3D. If you are going to rebuild drivers from scratch you also need to rebuild the shader file - you can search to find out how to do that. Also I take it you haven't rebuilt the Prepar3d .cfg file? Done a repair install of P3D? Do those, too.
  21. State of the Art System? Why so coy? Name it. In detail please. Must say Every one of your opinions is NOT reflected in my limited experience of the same software and I've been simming (and flying for real) for thirty years, and you seem to have thirty minutes, rather than the 20 years you claim. And you don't cover the fact that the software remains in development phase, and is readily reimbursable providing you met the criteria so it sounds like an expectation failure rather than a simulator one. And please use paragraphs. And some justification because as it stands, you haven't justified a single thing.
  22. So, please explain in detail how you did the full, clean reinstallation of these older drivers? I can tell you the error has nothing to do with temperature.
  23. The issue is likely caused by a faulty driver installation. You need to do a full, clean reinstallation of the latest approved driver from your manufacturers website. Note I said the card manufacturers website, NOT Nvidia, so it might not be the latest version available.
  24. So what was all the fuss about? Server went down, for whatever reason. Server came back up again. Keep Calm and Carry On...
  25. Do you have the correct versions of the aircraft for the sim? FSX versions do not work in p3Dv3 (or v4, for that matter)
