    I have two comments about the latest update: 1) for the first time ever on MSFS, my computer locked up after a pause 2) Live Traffic is no longer available as an option Could be me, could be my machine, just wondering if anyone else has any issues after latest update>

    Thanks Rick, going KSBA I always use the approach plates because of the mountains so not sure what the issue is in the c172 for me, I pick it up in the glass 182 I purchased but I prefer the old gauges. I will try to work it out thanks.

    KSBA Ils to Runway 7 I usually just use nave 1 and fly GPS to the last VOR I pick up the horizontal and the plane turns to final but no vertical and no diamond

    Well I am following an arrival plate to I don't think that is the issue. Flying vor to vor, moving from GPS to Nav on the ILS frequency after reaching the final VOR and again, horizontal is fine bu the vertical never captures

    I can fly an ILS approach on the G1000 version of the 182 but in the standard C172, the vertical does not work although the horizontal does. Anyone else having this issue in the 172?

    Hey guys just get REX, no wind layers for you to set, real weather and you will get waves and white caps when the wind is strong enough nothing else for you to do - could not be any simpler unless your video card or settings are not up to speed.

    Rex seems more up to the minute and realistic than the engine in MSFS in my opinion, but others may disagree. I know when I look outside and open Rex up to my local airport, that's the weather I see and I never have to set wind levels. It does the job and at $21 bucks, - I think it's a deal and it works.

    Actually no, if it's windy and I am using the real weather option in Rex I will see waves and white caps as I did yesterday flying into KSAV, even in the inland waterways. Depends on the weather. And I was coming in at around 1900 msl. So sure, the higher you are off the water, as in real life, you wont see them as pronounced. Yesterday there was a breeze of 19 knots coming out of the west and I had waves and whitecaps. No dynmaic setting just Rex injecting real weather.

    Mac, I use Rex as my weather source and get beautiful waves and do not worry about setting wind layers. I have my wave action set to medium and on days I fly over water and it's gusty, the waves and white caps are beautiful.

    Thanks Steve, actually the connection between the yoke and the main control unit had come loose, all working fine now.

    I have been using it since day one and love it, works great, and you can't beat the price.

    Update, realized my short cord from the yoke to the control box was not plugged in securely. All working fine now. I was off line for a week and after the new update my view controls no longer work with my Honeycomb alpha yoke. All switches work it's just the views that won't produce my look left etc with the pov or an external view with button 3 that I use. Anyone got a suggestion? I've rebooted, unplugged the USB, and plugged in to a different port, nothing seems to work.

    Actually, having read up on RNav, I realize it is not a precision approach. It's intended to get you within visual of the runway, no vertical guidance.

    Ok that makes sense, the 182 can get me close to an RNav runway but not on the money. Thanks.

    I'm confused, flying the stock 172 i have no problem picking up an ILS in Approach mode. However, if following a Vor to Vor flight plan in the gps, to an RNav runway, what is the proper procedure. Do you take the GPS out of gps mode and put it in vlock and turn on approach arm in the autopilot or, do you leave the GPS in Gps mode and turn on approach mode. when i do this it never picks up a glide scope - am I doing it wrong? Or, does RNav nav not pick up a glide scope?

    I love MSFS 2020 and fly RNav when available however, every time I use pause and come back a few minutes later, my GPS and the AP are disengaged although both still on and, no matter what I do from that point on i.e. turn the AP off, change the CDI back to Vlock and then back to GPS - nothing will capture the GPS track again. Does anyone else experience this or is this my own special little issue with MSFS?

    Glenn, I ordered my Rex directly from Rex and, they sent me an email with my serial number listed, which you need reenter every time there is an update. Not a big deal as there have only been two updates. Perhaps REX Support?

    LOL, I bought an Alien Ware PC and run MSFS on Ultimate settings, never a crash smooth as glass. no issues except the log book stopped wring on Nov. 8th. Just love it.

    Agreed, hate it and why not more USA scenes and airports? But this japan thing is awful.
