  1. How are the default seasonal textures in XP? Oh, wait................. How is the default AI traffic in XP? Oh, wait........... Maybe it's XP that has indeed been copy catting many of MS's features, and they are still WAY behind.
  2. What you really need is one computer that can have two graphics cards installed. Two computers running two copies of MSFS would never sync up.
  3. Where did you get SP1 from? Might want to try a different download.
  4. DX10 is for FSX only. There has never been a mention of DX10 in FS2004.
  5. Install paths do not cause CTDs. And his install path is the default path for FSX.
  6. Might be an overheating issue with the computer. Or don't have "boosted performance" turned on.
  7. Mine is 182GB including my Community folder. Are you using the Rolling Cache option in MSFS? You can also remove all the stuff that you will never use in MSFS such as the lessons, bush trips, tours, etc. Use the Content Manager for that. I would not remove any planes.
  8. The FlightSim.Com Store has 10 categories of FSX planes for sale. https://store.flightsim.com/product-category/fsx/ 425 planes. https://secure.simmarket.com/fsx-aircraft-page-1.chtml 12 categories of FSX planes for sale. There are more out there too. Not sure what you googled or where you visited.
  9. He's not. He is looking on how to update his base simulation.
  10. So at the MS Store, in your Library, you don't have a big, blue button that reads "Update?
  11. FSX will never see another update. If you want an update you need to move on to other flight sims.
  12. It's suddenly not a problem. There has been no progressive taxi with DX10 Preview since the day SP2 for FSX was released.
  13. The link you posted worked for me. Download started right up.
  14. You have FSX installed outside of the Program Files path, correct?
  15. If you had installed to C:\MSFS then it would be easy to find, every time.
