I've got a MSI 27 inch monitor with refresh at 144mhz and I am pretty happy with it. I was skeptical at first but its much better than my samsung 27inch. I use the samsung as a 2nd monitor and have undocked the radio, weather, mini vfr map on it. Specs for my machine are I7-9700 @ 3.6ghz 32gb Ram, RXT 2070 Super and I rarely dip below 30fps even in the heavy graphic areas like the handcrafted airports or flying in and around NYC, London etc. I have my settings at high visuals on almost all.

Two CTD for me. Staring off at EGLC. Running Rex Weather Pro. Failed on me 2 times. Removed all my stuff in community folder and started it back up. Failed again. Next time I didnt run Rex Weather Pro. Ran just fine. Added in the community folder items and it still runs. Will hold off on the Rex Weather for now.

Same here. My landings are much better in this sim than with the others. Add to that a proper yoke (Honeycomb Alpha) plus new pedals and throttle (Logitech) certainly help. Back with FS9 and FSX I would use the W key to get the big window view with the smaller instruments. Now its inside the cockpit all the time.

Had same problem last night. 3 hours later I was able to get on. With regards to the 2 aircraft, that part didnt happen. Had something similar a few weeks back and I went to content manager and it told me to download all that stuff again. Good luck. It is a royal pain in the ass!!

I had the old MS Sidewinder 2 FFB joystick and used it for a good 4 months before I got the Honeycomb Alpha yoke. The stick worked just fine for me after I mapped out the controls which was a royal pain in the ass. Have you recalibrated your stick for your computer?

Hi there. Just checking to see if anyone else is having the same problem. Trying to start up flight sim and and Hangs on the "Checking Updates" screen. After about 3 mins it comes back and says "Error Access to the content servies is currently unavailable. Please ensure you have an active internet connection and try again later. Please visit https://Flightsimulator.zendesk.com for additional information" Im online and have great connection, upload/download speeds are over 75 each. I did add to things to my community folder and went back to remove them to try again but no luck. Same results. Any others in the same situation?? Using MSFS purchased through Microsoft Store.

This happened to me earlier this week. It was a cleaner I used to remove junk files. It somehow got part of my flight sim. I had to reinstall/repair. Luckily it kept my logbook and stats, but I lost my community folder so I had to redownload all the good stuff again. On the bright side, it is clean and fresh again. Good luck to you.

Your specs are very similar to mine and I built my machine piece by piece. I dont have the 49" monitor though. The only real difference is I have the 2070 Super and I still have yet to dip below 25fps even when running at the highest settings over NYC or a detailed airport. I have 2 monitors set up but only use one for the sim and the other for Rex Weather Pro, and charts/ILS info.

Right now I'm setting up for the approach in to KCLT from KMCO. Winds are 300 at 6kts so taking 36C ILS

Sorry to hear that. I am having a lot of fun with mine. Works exactly like I want it to which is a full simulator and then just something to kill the time. Why would you delete FSX though? If I had that on my system before hand, I would have left it on there and done a review. If I didnt like the 2020 Version, I would delete and go back to FSX? If I liked 2020 better, then I would have deleted or at least saved on a back up drive somewhere. I remember with FSX came out and it was garbage. I had a great set up with FS9 and held onto it. I tried FSX for a good 6 months then gave up and deleted it. Went back to FS9 and ran that computer till its death in 2018. Got out of simming for 2 years but when I saw 2020, I knew I had to have it. Built a new machine and its great. Im not saying that its been all positive. Have had a few issues but overall the experience is great and I have learned a lot.

Be nice if they did bush mission for the Mach Loop in the CJ4 or TBM.

KPSP-KORD, KORD-KBOS, KBOS-KLGA all in an A321 in American Livery. Now if someone would just come out with some decent airport scenery for KPSP.

When I plugged the CH Products into the computer, I heard the noise that it makes when a new device is added. It sensed them in MSFS but I had to do all the mapping of the controls which is a royal pain in the ass. I have since upgraded to the Honeycomb yoke, a Logitech Throttle and Rudder Pedal set and all of them were mapped ready to go out of the box which was awesome.

Just out of curiosity which one did you get? I got the Honeycomb Alpha and havent made any changes to my default settings. The only one I may change is the Hat view so that I can spin around rather than single stop quick look.

Flew a leg today from PANC to PAFA and no snow. Guess it is reading the weather right.

I flew a leg from SFO to ANC today and when I broke out of the clouds on approach the mountains were covered in snow. Continued on and then landed on a snowy runway. I am running Rex Weatherforce.

I feel your pain. I was using CH products Flight Sim Yoke and the CH Pro Pedals. Mapping was such a PITA but I finally got it done. While it was great in FS9 it wasnt that great in FS2020. Luckily I got the Honeycomb Yoke and Saitek/Logitech Throttles and it is like night and day!!. The response is so much different and better yet, I didnt have to map them at all. Just had to learn the maps. Still using the CH Pro Pedals until my new ones come in. Landing challenge scores have gone up a ton. Like Petty said....Waiting is the hardest part. Good luck.

Im having the same probs although I think it is my CH Flight Sim Yoke. I took off and engaged auto after initial climb and had the right turn spiral start. I pulled the USB for the yoke and it straightened up and flew the plan for me. Figure Ill plug it back in about 15 mins before landing while working the approach. I wonder if the newest update with the CH profiles updated have cause this.

Good morning. Have had the sim since it came out and have not had any major problems (fingers cross I haven't jinxed myself). Flown local, regional, national, international and have always run into the same problem. Using the standard multi player built into the sim, you get people who spawn on the runway, play chicken with ya on the taxiways and pretend they are part of a flight demonstration team flying a 2 ship formation 18 inches away from you. Really kind of frustrating. I know there is Vatsim which is way more rigid but is there any place out there that is a happy medium between the anarchy of current free for all sim based and Vatsim? Don't get me wrong, I was a member of Vatsim a while ago (circa 2005) and while it was well behaved, you had some controllers who way over the top and would admonish you if you asked for progressive taxi instructions and made a wrong turn (even if there was no conflict coming). Left a bad taste so I left that and only flew with the AI Traffic. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!!

Thanks for this question. Had the same issue and finally have it fixed.

So I went into the system and calibrated, next thing I hear is boing and then a bunch of stuff rattling in there. Took it apart. The right side cable screw had unseated and the cable wasnt attached. Reattached cleaned up inside, calibrated and then did the deadzone and sensitivity thing and Viola, flying with Auto on isnt a problem anymore. Again, thanks for all the help. Really appreciate it!

Thanks Dog. Ya, I know its part of the sim not the controller but its just odd that it won't hold it and its only with that product. I was planning on getting the Honeycomb Yoke so it appears that will be coming sooner rather than later.
