  1. Always good to see a Dakota, and this one is particularly cheerful, very nice!
  2. Ozark? ss10471 An early DC-3/C-47, before they introduced the three swallows
  3. Here's another freeware gem, available on Sim Outhouse, the Ryan Navion, by LDR development. After WW2, the engineers at North American Aviation, who brought us the Mustang among others, came up with this beautiful GA aircraft. All metal construction, and if you look closely, you see the family resemblance to the Mustang, in the wings for instance. Later, they sold the model to Ryan, who countinued to make them. I think it is one of the best looking GA, very sleek, and I love that car-style canopy. What do you think? ss9301 ss9311 ss9446 ss10304 ss11811 ss23931
  4. My paints are for both FSX and P3D, so no worries there. Btw, did you notivce the rear gun turret is animated as well in the G model? Don't forger to try the Havoc paints by Huub Vink that are available on sim-outhouse as well, he did some really nice ones. One more from me: jk1143
  5. Beautiful shots, and a fine choice of aeroplane for the finish
  6. Another source for great freeware is Milton Shupe, who's given us many wonderful freeware aircraft, most of which are my type of aircraft, which huge engines and propellers. Here's one I like a lot, the Douglas A-20 Havoc (or Boston for the British), which comes in two variants, the glass nosed A-20C and the solid nosed A-20G, with a few of my paints for it: jk3669 jk2983 jk2453 jk2935 jk1165 jk1155 joy02
  7. I forgot to show a few repaints for it ss15488 ss15537 ss15267 A3-48-009 ardu004 ss14945
  8. Another freeware plane I really like, the Grumman Duck by Paul Domingue, available on sim-outhouse (look for Bad Duck). In P3Dv4 it produces weird smoke on startup, but seems to work well otherwise. In FSX it was fine. It's a weird but wonderful aircraft, some people might even call it ugly, but I love it, so much character. They kept making them right up to 1945, so they must have been doing something right... Here's a few of my paints for this lovely mongrel: jk0588 ss16130 ss15956 ss15852 ss5523 murph3
  9. Now that we have Khalid started on Manfred's sublime C-47, I was wondering if there was more great freeware out there that I like, and other may too. So here is one, the Mirage IIIc by Restauravia, which on my computer works fine in P3Dv4 as well, always nice.
  10. Just don't expect any perfection from a geologist, we all have our faults.. You may know I actually am a geologist in real life, so this paint was a nice one for me: ss7392 The BMR even supported my first fieldwork in Australia, good memories..

  12. Khalid mentioned he was thinking about installing Manfred Jahn's freeware C-47. Let's see if we can push him over the edge... Here are some of my personal favorites from among my many paintjobs for this wonderful bird, feel free to add yours! 13. Nice pics, Jan, good to see you enjoying the paintjob! Khalid, what's stopping you, it's for free, and if you don't like it, you just delete it again. And yes, there's a ton of paints for it, including (quite) a few by me.
  14. No apologies needed, I am Dutch, but live in Belgium, well, most of the time..
  15. Carenado990's post made me think of my own Phoenix paint for the Aeroplane Heaven C-119 jk7190 jk7202 jk7205 I've always loved the opening shots:
  16. wow, nice collection! I especially like the ones with the day-glo panels. I did a few myself, but for the Aeroplane Heaven model. Funnily enough, I see only one we both painted, 49-186 in French colors: any plans for the aircraft from the Flight of the Phoenix movie?
  17. I'm glad you like it! Here's another: jk1649
  18. A T-6 of the All Weather Flying Center, 1947. jk1588 jk1586 jk1589 jk1602 jk1603
  19. I did one more, also with a girl on the nose.. jk8064 a 'what if' 56th FG version
  20. Excellent choices, all are my favorite list as well!
