    Rwy12 Object placer

ok, thought that might be the case. Tedious indeed. I did also do some manually as you described which worked well. And there is a big ADE thumbnail file I found that helped add more. Still, SOOOOO much easier than Rwy12 which is borderline tortureous. I'll take tedious anyday, lol.

Question, I've been able to add more objects to ADE, mostly from the Static Objects Library. I can easily add the bgl files, however no thumbnails will be there. I can add them manually. Is there another way to add them for a complete folder? Like Lars_ExtraObjects as an example. The only way I could do it is to add them manually by inserting them into the sim then seeing what object it was. Kinda slow.

Ok thanks. Rwy12 is kinda painful. Think I'll fork out some bikkies for Instant Scenery.

Oh ok. Can I add new objects to use? ADE is pretty easy to use from adding new aprons, changing or removing objects etc etc.
  6. Used it in the past mildly successfully. Certainly a pain to place objects accurately (like putting two airfield board markers together or fences etc). Not sure if there is any way to get it more accurate. Placing multiple objects then loading the sim again to see one object completely out of place is kinda frustrating. Having a scenery folder with 100 bgls might work as I can delete the last one and redo it. Slow though. Unless someone has a way to do it less painfully? Is Instant Scenery the way to go for this? I believe you can see he objects in real time even in FS2004. Probably worth the 29.95 USD I suppose. Does anyone have any other programs they use to place objects? I think the Abucus ez-scenery placer has disappeared.
  7. VOZ does a great job at many places for airports/airfield and landclass, however OZ is a big place. Noresman is a strange one. It has the perimeter there, and some runway/taxiway signs, half an apron and thats it. There's a WA airport package that has it. However its dirt but a quick update to change to ashpalt on 01/19 with the correct markings is easy. The landclass around it is average or non-existent. . Some photoreal would work well there.
  8. whoa...nice. I'm getting there. The race will begin for me...soon.
  9. Could somebody clarify point 8 in Toms post? What ah…so we need to do on that one?
  10. I’ll take it! Is this Latinum won at Quarks at the Dabo table?
  11. Wohooo!! I've already won!!! I'd like to thank my sponsors, Bundaberg Rum. Which evidently won worlds best Rum at some stage. Obviously the taste testers were all loaded... Send me the money!! $25,000 USD. I'm rich!!!
  12. So maybe nobody will be ready for the race start and I'll pick up an easy win and the $25,000 USD first place prize!!

  17. Some highway landings occasionally.
  18. Thanks mate. I’ll check it out. Trying! Super busy couple weeks to come. I’ll see if I can prepare something and enter at least. Then see what I can do.
  19. If I can raise the cash, I'll put in my entry. We'll see how I go. Once question....where are the 9'ers getting their YCAG from? There's no default in mine. And an old WA airport file looks like this which is better than nothing.
  20. Drinking beer while flying. Good to have another Aussie here.
  21. Ooooh. Fun event. Good to see ciggie advertising back! The good old days. A site showing the entrants list in the actual race. https://www.airhistory.net/pub/show.php?event_id=357&search_mode=1&page=1&sid=1703685039 I might just get something together for this one.
  22. Because what happens at our airport stays at our airport. The nuns said they'll bring a pole. So the club is growing. We have nuns, a priest, an Englishman, an Irishman and now a Pole!
  23. Hopefully the 'club' has a bar and a nun or two serving drinks.
  24. Sorry guys. I’m been super busy, sick, and busy. So I’m out of this one. Got a super busy schedule coming up. Might be hard to compete although it looks fun!
  25. ok thank you! I’ll give it a whirl and see what happens.
