Issues With Direct X 10 - FSX Won't Work Without It?

Hi there guys,

 

Bit of a strange issue here but all of a sudden my FSX Steam Edition will not function correctly unless I tick the option for DirectX 10 Preview.

 

Upon startup of FSX I get a black Aircraft Preview Box like this:

 

 

And also, when I try and click Fly Now, all I get is this screen where the bar loads to 100% and I can hear the game sounds but the screen stays exactly as shown below:

 

 

I have tried completely removing all FSX files, including all the ones in AppData and the My Documents Folder, and I have even tried re-installing the game numerous times but this same thing happens?

 

It has only just started doing this - It never did it before and worked perfectly until now.

 

Any suggestions?
