Fsx PMDG 777 radio problem

Recommended Posts

I have reloaded the PMDG 777 software twice now and get the same result.

The problem is:

In the radio stack, for instance, I tune into Heathrow tower live ATC in the active window, and 122.80 in the standby window.

I Get no response from Heathrow but if I switch 122.80 into the active window and Heathrow into the standby window, Heathrow responds.

Can any member please advise on a solution to this problem?

Thank you

Donald

What freq are you using for Heathrow Live ATC?  I went to Live ATC and Heathrow isn't broadcasting there.  Freqs. for tower are:

HEATHROW DIRECTOR Approach:119.73

HEATHROW RADAR Radar:127.52

HEATHROW TOWER Tower:118.50

HEATHROW TOWER Tower:118.70

HEATHROW TOWER Tower:124.47

122.8 is a common tower freq. in that area.

If you are using FSX, then click on the airport map to see the proper freqs.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Sounds as if the two functions are reversed. Try with some more known freqs both in stby and in active and see if the same switch occurs -- if so, then

the active and stby functions are reversed in that radio.

It seems to be in FSX now.

Thank you for your input. I will try your suggestions. Looks like the frequencies are reversed when loading the aircraft.

Sorry for posting in the wrong forum but thanks  for your help.
