Will only run in Safe Mode now ?

Recommended Posts

Nvidia announced it was going to install the latest G-Force Experience update and I said OK. Then MSFS would crash in normal mode and only runs in Safe Mode (which is OK but my son says it isn't.).

MSFS says it's probably due to 3rd Party add-on  issues, but I don't any 3rd party stuff.

I uninstalled the G-Force Experience, but it has made no diff.

Ant ideas please ?

I would first go here-  https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Use that to uninstall you Nvidia drivers.

Here is also a guide to how to use it-

Then I would install an earlier version of NVIDIA drivers, I would not use Geforce (just my opinion)  I've read/heard to many things about it and MSFS

I use this software from time to time to reinstall only certain parts of the Nvidia drivers-  https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-nvcleanstall/

There isn't any discernible diff between DX12 znd DX11 anyway.

True as far as FPS goes, but DX12 blurs the GPS screens too much on my system. DX11 displays them sharp and clear.

Interesting.  I've been having problems with distant ground textures being quite blurry when using DX12.  I'm giving DX11 another try tonight.
