AAU1 Update is live

Recommended Posts

Happy to report that the update went smoothly and reasonably swiftly this mid-afternoon. No negative issues. So...Yay.

Went well for me except that it does what it does with every update....... it turns off full screen and changes it to windows mode.

No big deal, I expect it and it only take a minuet to change it back.

Anyone else have this happen?

Yep, each and every time.  As another poster wrote, it happens 🙂

I also had to change how the winds affect my landings (someone posted it a year or so back, it's saved to my desktop), and the Filters need to be changed each time as well.  Sigh 🙂

The install went well for me also.

However, on the next flight I took after installing the update I was using the GNS 430 for navigation and mid-flight parts of it just stopped updating. The map seemed to still be working, but things like distance, waypoint, comm frequency, etc. stopped updating.

I thought the nav instruments were the main thing being fixed here?

How do I know the update is actually installed?

Just have launched MSFS but apparently nothing has changed, even if I checked I was online.

I assume this update is mainly for glass cockpits, which I don't use at all. Could this be the reason?

Thanks in advance, best regards.

When you start the sim up, one of the stages it goes through is Installation Manager - checking for updates. When I started it up yesterday, at that point I had to install the new update.

It also looks like you check manually. Right after you start up, on the "Welcome" screen, at the bottom of the page is a link "TAB Read Support and Release Notes". When I click on this I get the details on v1.30.12.0

OK, tried again 30 min later and this time everything went OK as expected.

It is now indeed v1.30.12.0.

Thanks for your reply.

After installing yesterday, I noticed today that there was a small download in the content manager to update the Garmin 430/530.  May be useful for anyone who didn't notice it yesterday like me.

Is this the one labeled "Working Title GNS430/530"? I see that in my content manage but it says it's already up to date and is version 1.1.2. Is that the version you have? After the recent update my GNS 430 did not seem to obviously change and I was expecting to see something noticeable...
