BillD22
Here are some shots of the last Lockheed L188 "Electras" still flying today. Both are operated by Canadian companies. Once these are retired the Electra will be no more. :( Buffalo Airways, based at Yellowknife Airport (CYZF), in Northwest Territories, operates a cargo version shown in these shots. The other operator is Air Spray, based at Red Deer Regional Airport (CYQF), in Alberta, which flies several L188s converted to aerial firefighting tankers. NMLW
A beautiful display of those Lockheed L-188 Electras Bill.  A bit sad to think they are the last of the breed though. :( Larry
Rupert
A beautiful display of those Lockheed L-188 Electras Bill.  A bit sad to think they are the last of the breed though. :( +1! They certainly were workhorses, especially for the short haul market. For example without them Air California, which I always called a true bus line in the air, probably wouldn't have existed. Well captured! Michael Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
