Oak Island (in Canada) A different point of view

Seeing David's higher level shots of "Oak Island" I went to the Wikipedia and looked it up. The Northern version, since it was far enough to have lots of snow is the one I guessed he was talking about. (The outer one was in North Carolina.)

So I got out the old ski plane and punched in the numbers (44 30:47N 64 17:38W according to Wikipedia) And what you see here is what I found. Never having seen the series I don't now if this area is supposed to be desolate, a bunch of casinos, or what. But this is how it looked to me.

Nova Scotia is the right location.... glad you found it and glad we can compare the scenery.... you can clearly see the shoreline around the island in your shots, Thanks to someone asking for more places or whatever to for the ski planes Asosbo had to go screw it all up again so mine is surrounded by ice, which in reality is just not there! To be polite, I don't think ASOBO thinks things through properly lol And you landed there too great stuff more than I did.. I put the TMN on puse and went down with the drone cam.... I showed your (and Davids) pictures to my doggies, they were excited! They're both Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers or just "Tollers" :):)

Here they were celebrating the oldest dog's birthday ;)

They look great Jan! When I lived out in the country and had some land I had a couple of Old English Sheepdogs to herd. Though frankly all they ever herded very successfully was the barn cats!:o

Now that I'm a retired city boy we have a half Standard Poodle and half Shitzu. All she does is annoy the neighbors hoping for treats.

David,

I think I'll head back in "summer" and try to get a better view. It is really an island but even with my "winter" pictures it's hard to see the small gap form the mainland. Maybe it'll be more definite in "summer."
