daspinall
I did some vfr this evening from the channel just off Dover cliffs across London then up to Manchester, I finally put her to bed at EGCB Barton. I normally fly the 747 and TBM with vfr in the 172 cessna, the cessna can be a bit slow so thought I'd try out the Diamond with a top speed of 135kt. What a friendly little aircraft to fly in vfr and will fly it again..... Downwind66
Yes, David, curvy and graceful. Never flown one, but they do look like fun and they are swift also! Thanks for sharing! Rick

Rick  For VFR they beat the Cessna 172 imo, you virtually have a unrestricted view of the world, thanks to the wraparound windshield... and a little extra speed/power..... Rupert
Nice shot! They are certainly a huge change in the appearance of low winged VFR flyers. I always felt low mounted wings limited your VFR views. But that;s just one pilot's point of view. Having said that, almost all the newbies seem to love the ease of use a tricycle gear setup. So that fact alone will probably really help sales. Let's face it, after generations of VFR aircraft that are mostly all very similar, it's time for someone to offer a change of pace!! Michael Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.

daspinall
Nice atmospheric shot, but you forgot to retract the flaps! Yes, I would normally retract them on the runway.
