flightquarters -you have to match your sound (for the repaint) to whatever SMS Overland aircraft you are using. Here's an example of a Martinair aircraft and as you can see it uses a sound folder of PW. Your aircraft might be totally different, but check your aircraft.cfg to see how the sound folder has been named.

Yes, there was a name for the sound CF6-80 however, the sound could not be heard under that name.

Ok got it below is the aircraft and how the sound folder was named.

Okay, that helps! Let me point out 3 things I have noticed from the above:

1) Sim name is different. Your aircraft base say sim=MD11_SMS, you repaint add-on is sim=md11, try changing the sim name of the add-on to sim=MD11_SMS

2)All your aircraft in the base have the panels named, you need to pick one and label your add-on

3) Sound, same thing, you have CF6-80 and PW4000 for your other aircraft, you need to pick one of these and name the sound source.

I would try making above changes and see if that resolves the matter! It appears you are familiar with add-ons and the bases you are attaching the add-ons to. I have noticed when working with repaints and add-ons, that unless you create a relationship to all required fields, you will have issues with the one that stands alone in not being related! Give it a whirl, you're close, but not there yet! Hope this helps!
