mrpunch
I have recently loaded FSX Steam edition on both my laptop and on a desktop PC. The laptop version is as downloaded the Desktop has 2 A2A aircraft. On both machines when in I try to reduce the throttle to try a stall the RPM automatically goes back up to a safe speed without me touching the throttle. When attempting to land I am unable to cut the throttle. This happens on Piper Cub, Cessna 172 and also in A2A models installed in Desktop. Is there an automatic throttle control somewhere that I have missed?
lnuss
Yes, though it's not on the panel of those aircraft, but apparently it's in the .cfg file. So try CTRL-R to toggle autothrottle, if I recall correctly. You'll also need to get in your default flight and turn it off, then save the flight as default, or it'll come back. In the aircraft.cfg you can also go down to the autopilot section and change: autopilot_available= 1 to autopilot_available= 0 Larry N. mrzippy
More likely autothrottle_available=0 Disabling A/P does not disable A/T. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
lnuss
Ooops= my fingers didn't type what I thought, and my jumbled head failed to catch it -- sorry, but mrzippy is right. :( Larry N.
