FERGUS Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 Hello Grateful for any help please. I have bene running the sim uneventfully for a couple of weeks. Suddenly last night when I clicked on World Map window to select a flight I got an immediate CTD. Have tried several times but no change. I can access the Courchevel test ok but the tutorial flights are greyed out. The event viewer log is below: Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 10/09/2020 07:25:56 Event ID: 1000 Task Category: (100) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: DESKTOP-APVAGMI Description: Faulting application name: FlightSimulator.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5f467af2 Faulting module name: FlightSimulator.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5f467af2 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00000000011b4be9 Faulting process ID: 0x2790 Faulting application start time: 0x01d6873ab6999d9a Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.7.14.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\FlightSimulator.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.7.14.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\FlightSimulator.exe Report ID: 8e5dbe01-c1db-4bcb-9549-ee951b6a6a72 Faulting package full name: Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.7.14.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe Faulting package-relative application ID: App Event Xml: 1000 0 2 100 0 0x80000000000000 2467 Application DESKTOP-APVAGMI FlightSimulator.exe 0.0.0.0 5f467af2 FlightSimulator.exe 0.0.0.0 5f467af2 c0000005 00000000011b4be9 2790 01d6873ab6999d9a C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.7.14.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\FlightSimulator.exe C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.7.14.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\FlightSimulator.exe 8e5dbe01-c1db-4bcb-9549-ee951b6a6a72 Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.7.14.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe App

loki Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 thanks - where is the Apps & Features screen please? It's in the Windows settings. You can also right click on the Start Menu and it will be at the top of the pop-up menu.
FERGUS Posted September 10, 2020 Author Posted September 10, 2020 thanks - have tried that no dice there
amberdog1 Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 If you are using the steam version there is a repair function on your steam home page.
