rjord
I'm trying to fly around the world, but I only ever get as far as Innsbruk. How do refuel ? Search for Repair and Refuel in your controls, and assign a key. I assigned ALT-F as it was free and request fuel is SHIFT-F, so both make sense together :). johnclift
I don't know where to find any key controls.
stempski
I found the easiest way to refuel is, when your on the runway, click on the drop down toolbar, then Fuel... slide the slider to whatever percentage of full you'd like. If your toolbar doesn't have the fuel icon, just add it using the Gear icon on the right. johnclift
I can see "Fuel" under the toolbar but it's just an on/off button. There's no slider ? My sons suggested taxiing up to th fuel point but I've done that too and don't get any fuel.

stempski
under the Gear Icon, click the Fuel to 'Add" the icon to the drop down menu. Then click on the Fuel Icon, and move the slider. In the General Settings, there's also one for Unlimited Fuel, you could turn that to ON, and never have to think about fuel. johnclift
AAAAAAH got it. I was looking at entirely the wrong thing. I didn't equate a weight symbol to fuel. Obvious now. Thanks all and happy flying.

johnclift
You see? Its not the sim Its the simmers, unfamiliar with the learning curve of a new interface Or sometimes unfamiliar with flying itself Everything requires learning For straight out of the box flying you can try smartphone flightsims Interestingly, people often refer to "a steep learning curve" as something that's incredibly difficult. But it's the opposite. The concept of "learning curve" was invented in the 1930's in the context of improving productivity in the then emerging assembly lines of newly mechanised industry. A learning curve is the time taken to be completely knew to a task to being able to do it competently. So, for example, place a piece of sheet steel into a mould, lower the guard, press a button, take it out again, repeat. That will probably take 2 minutes. That's 0 to 100% in 2 minutes. That's a steep learning curve. But becoming a brain surgeon or a Concorde pilot, that takes at least 8 years. That's a very shallow learning curve. I know you didn't say steep learning curve. You just mentioned a learning curve. Just sayin'.
ajofscott
shift+f and a re assignment to alt+f had the same effect of only triggering the fuel truck to drive around like it was going to do something and as gar as the gear icon there is none in the pc interface nor is there a ptt button on most radios nor is there a command to do so mentioned in the controls menu. I can only presume you are using the XBox version. I will find a work around eventually even if it means infinite fuel on then off.
tiger1962
Just move your cursor to the top center of the screen. A white arrow with an underline will appear. Beneath that will be a row of icons. This is your menu bar. Just below the white arrow is a weight icon. Click on that and the fuel screen will pop up. You can refuel by dragging the sliders to the right and then closing the window. You can do this at any time in flight or on the ground. Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..."
