bertfulker
As a newbie who has at last managed to install FSX on win 7....I must say it was well worth the effort....quite a big improvement over FS9...however I have a question...and I am sure all the vets of the sim will have an answer for me...why is it that helicopters do not take off from their pads? but have to taxi to the runway, and is there any way to correct this. mrzippy
Since I don't fly the coffee grinders, this is just a guess. Dumb old ATC thinks you are an airplane. Ignore them and lift off from your pad and then re-establish ATC contact. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!

Cheers I would think the same thing applies to AI helos. Don't know if there is anything in their flightplans that can be changed to allow for immediate takeoff instead of having to taxi to the runways. https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?227346-Flight-Plan-for-Helicopter-Flights Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer! leuen
Don't know if there is anything in their flightplans that can be changed to allow for immediate takeoff instead of having to taxi to the runways. It's simple: create separate AFD and modify existing flightplans. Bernard Visit Retroavia Forum - FS9 in the pasts
