WW2 Heinkel He 177 Greif

Recommended Posts

Heinkel He 177 Greif (Griffon), a rarely used long-range German heavy bomber during WW2. One more for my collection :) Here reaching back to continental shores after a bombing raid, during Operation Steinbock (or the 'baby blitz'), against the UK by early 1944 (note: it's a plane for fs2004 as some gauges not allowed with FSX)

I don't recall every seeing one of those. Pretty different design for sure!

Thanks for your post Larry and DAVIDSTRAKA! Neither knew that plane. They say it was a effort by Germany to get some long-range bomber, acounterpart to those bombing on the continent. And I also like its line, it's a sleek one :):)

Thanks ColR1948, adamb and Peer for the comments!

Peer: I can't really tell you. The plane is given for FS9. All I saw in FSX is that it lacked a 2D panel and that some gauges were denied as not FSX-compatible. Cheers
