TheRedBadger
This is a weird (and annoying) problem I've just recently encountered, and I'm not sure if this has ever been documented so here it is. In the interior, when idle, the usual rumble sound you get in a C172 is replaced with a weird, silent, hissing noise (it's fine with the exterior). When I throttle forward, normal sounds can be heard, but when idling back, the weird sound returns. This is only with the default C172. For now I'll pretend I have a noise-cancelling headset that only works on idle =U Remarks: computer was "scanning and repairing C: drive" prior to starting up FS9. I'm not sure what may have happened beforehand. EDIT: My hunch is that the low rpm sound file is out; I checked the C172 sound file and c172_rpm1 is the only unplayable sound, giving me an error message suggesting the possibility of a corrupted file. c00d36c4 Carlos Si
zswobbie1
Maybe a slow puncture? Check your tyres. (maybe have a look for a replacement Cessna sound. I'm sure there must be in the library. Backup the original sound & try the replacement, … check your tyres!) Robin Cape Town, South Africa
