JefDev
I just joined FlightSim this week and downloaded the Cessna 414A to my fs9 2004 simulator. Does anyone know why the engines cut out after a cold start and the plane is sitting on idle while I request clearances prior to take off. I don't necessarily have the same problem after a flight in the parking area. Also it took me several landing attempts to stop the plane from nosing on the runway after applying brakes during my landing run out. I eventually tried pressing F2 and this seemed to help slow me down. Comments are welcomed. JefDev
mrzippy
In your aircraft.cfg under [GeneralEngineData] look at idle_rpm_mechanical_efficiency_scalar= If it's set to 1 then lower it to .995 Sounds like no problem after warm up so maybe increase throttle slightly while it's warming up! Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
JefDev
Thanks Bumping up the throttle does seem to be the easiest fix.
