pilotposer
Hello, I'm sure many simmers know Virtavia is offering free FS9 aircraft on their website. I have downloaded them for years, some are good. others not so good. The current crop of aircraft they are offering are really excellent in detail and function. Downloading is a snap as well as installation. Give them a try you have nothing to lose. Thank you Virtavia for making these airplanes available for no charge. hjwalter
pilotposer, The free FS9 Virtavia aircraft you are referring to seem to be very well hidden on your linked site, so much so that I cannot find any of them. What am I doing wrong ? Regards Hans

zswobbie1
There used to be a lot more free planes available. Pity they are now missing from the listing. Robin Cape Town, South Africa
morbidfred
I just had a look and you are not kidding there used to be tons of aircraft on that page, Hopefully I saved the ones I downloaded previously on to an external hardrive and have not lost them forever! zswobbie1
Thankfully, I've also done that, over the years. I've probably got the whole freeware collection, also on an external drive. It's quite sad that so such 'older' freeware has been lost due to sites disappearing from the web. Thank goodness I've been saving my downloads over many years. PM me if anyone is looking for freeware that's gone missing over the years, maybe I can share. Skywatcher12
PM me if anyone is looking for freeware that's gone missing over the years, maybe I can share. Hi Robin, I just tried to PM you on a separate matter and you need to clear some messages for any PM's to go through to you. On topic, sad to see these aircraft gone. The site is obviously still there and operating, they simply removed the majority of old freeware. Mark Daniels
pilotposer
Hi all, Yes Virtavia /Alphasim has eliminated a lot of aircraft from their free site. The ones that are left available are excellent. Over the years I have tried all of them and probably kept 5 or 6 of them. I too had to look through all my files to find them. I wish other developers would open up their vaults and offer a couple of outdated free planes like Virtavia did.

zswobbie1
Hi Mark, I've cleaned the box out, so it should be able to take messages now. Can you try again? Regards, Robin Robin Cape Town, South Africa
