Stratocaster54
When it comes to airplanes, I always prefer the older jetliners. The 747-200/300 might be one of my very favourites. I was making a flight from Stockholm to Athens and I made a quick stop in Zurich. Here are some screenshots from the second half of the trip, enjoy! I hope you enjoyed, and feel free to post screenshots of your 747! - Dennis Flight Simulator 2004 & P3D v4 | i5-10400F @ 4.3 Ghz | Nvidia GTX1650 4GB | 8GB DDR4 RAM | 256GB SSD + 1TB SSD

Downwind66
Nice pics, Dennis, of a work horse of an aircraft! I must admit, when first flying with the FSX, the 747 did intimidate me with the size of this big bird! Since forcing myself to get more acquainted with the 747, I have found that this enormous aircraft is a lot more gentle to fly than some of the smaller jetliners! Here is one of my now favorite 747's, the 747-8i. A great flier, for sure! Rick
pugilist2
Great shots! I also always liked the 747-200. flightsimg
Sure that that was a plane, and still is in my opinion! Since I get into flying by 737-200 and 600, got no much time to fly the 747:p Lately found a fine VC improvement to the FSX default; check at http://www.simviation.com/fsnd/menu.html (other planes also) needs some tweaking plus a good knowledge of the internal structure and relations in a plane's folder (be wary of the default installation) Gérard Guichard, Dijon, Burgundy, France. i5 Intel processor, 4 Go of Ram, Nvidia GeForce 920MX, DirectX 12.0, and FSX Gold Edition with SP1, SP2. Stratocaster54
Thank you everybody, and that is also a nice shot Rick. Lovely to see how the 747 progressed but remained so identical. Do you fly the 737-200 and 600 with a VC? if yes, which plane is it? flightsimg
Do you fly the 737-200 and 600 with a VC? if yes, which plane is it? Hi, the 737-200 is a Cantu/Kittyhawk as the 600 is the Westjet improved by Chris Evans. Both tweaked and improved by me The 600 if I remember well had a VC at download. The 200 has a old VC only with no instruments working, and one has to use a hex editor to make it appear. I mostly use the VC for some pics only, and it features a first officer -- who is famed on that forum as some can't bear him :):) ) Gérard Guichard, Dijon, Burgundy, France. i5 Intel processor, 4 Go of Ram, Nvidia GeForce 920MX, DirectX 12.0, and FSX Gold Edition with SP1, SP2. Downwind66
Thank you everybody, and that is also a nice shot Rick. Lovely to see how the 747 progressed but remained so identical. Thank you Khalid and Stratocruiser for your comments. I believe the the entire 747 line of aircraft doesn't get the credit they deserve!! A while back, one of our members, Kenny (liner simpilot) had a pic of the 747-121 City of Everett, that was the very first inaugural flight of the 747. He was looking for someone to do a repaint, and I ventured out and started shakin some bushes and found an old download of this very aircraft. Kenny got his wish, and I kept one for myself to put in my hangar. It is my understanding that this aircraft has been totally restored and sits at a museum site which is located on the airport property where Boeings are manufactured, Everett (Seattle), Washington! Airlines and previous owners have tried to send all the remaining 747's to the bone yards, but Air Cargo companies have realized their worth in the Cargo business, and now are scooping up whatever they can! Long live the 747s, not ready to see you go, just yet! Rick

Downwind66
Yes it is. :) Very nice pics Larry!! At the angle those pics were taken, it really does show you just how immensely large the 747's really are! Thanks for sharing! Rick
